I fish a Castaway HG40 Flipping telescopic and love it. I do have a Gator MH one piece 7'6". It is very unwieldy to store in the boat and at home.- Striper trip yesterday

I have owned and still own some of the original standard (not even IM6) graphite rods from Castaway. (and some HG40's) They are some of the best feeling rods that I own.- knot for spinner bait?
You can actually tie a palomar "in the air". Double about 6-8' of line. (or as much as you can do with practice) Tie an overhand know and leave open a 2" circle. Reach through the single loop with you thumb and fore finger. (all the while holding the doubled line in your other hand) and grab the doubled circle. Pull it through the single loop. Rotate your thumb and fore finger and open them, spreading the doubled loop.(this action ''flips" the now tightened single loop. Drop the spinnerbait blades through the double loop, moisten and pull tight. Viola!- Anyone still use Abu round reels?
