  1. Personally got 10 of those knock offs and out of 10 a total of 0 ran straight even a little bit. Personally think they just took a deep diver and lopped the bill off its almost horrible. just my 2 cents and the argon knock off split sr baits are just as bad > And not to hijack this thread Nice work fellers and I really appreciate the fact that theres a how to do it section WOOOT pics to come soon.
  2. Yeah I am really not a fan of TU forum interface the posts seem to go from bottom to top if you do a search its quite annoying. But as far as the whole process I can only find a bit here and a bit there was really looking for a process from making the mold(materials) to actually pouring and finishing the foam(or resin). Mabye some pictures(Men need pictures to make anything since we dont know how to read instructions. Thanks guys
  3. Yet again thanks Big M
  4. Can someone either explain from the beginning or link me to somewhere that tells you how to mold foam baits. This would be an explanation to someone who has no clue what so ever even where to start or what to start with......It doesnt have to be foam can be resin also. Most of the explanations i have found seem to be talking to people that have at least basic knowledge on mold making and some basics in pouring. I am not one of them. Thanks in advance I am sure lots of people will find it helpful.
  5. I don't know if they're still in business or what since I cant get a return call or email but these are the nicest wood blanks I have found to date. http://lurehardware.com/Lure_Hardware/index.html
  6. I would have to look into that im not 100% sure I think it was in the same line. So as long as it was all like eclipse or custom or revolution but Ill make sure first.
  7. TCP has bulk deals also..we should find around 10 people here whom want a new one and pool our resources. Im 1
  8. Don't forget to look into insurance if you plan to be a boater usually 100-300k of liability. Usually for like Bass or FLW you need a fishing deck both front and back, Divided live well , and hard wired running lights. I have a triton tr21 but am still a PROUD co angler
  9. that same place has a link for taxidermy and lure making best guns to use http://www.tcpglobal.com/airbrushdepot/airb8.aspx there is a few other ones that they recommend but ultimately it will end up being word of mouth I believe
  10. D yes its the one that has been recomended to me as well on many occasions http://www.tcpglobal.com/airbrushdepot/irevo.aspx#IWA4334 I There is several others but the most common was that one tho.
  11. Thats pretty nice I would fish it.
  12. Yeah the enamel part I did figure out long ago . So the Badger brands are just fine to use? I wasn't sure if they were. I have been using them for my rc bodies for a long time and figure Ill try to start painting some lures. The createx and faskolor do say for wood also and I know the fascolor holds up pretty well with just a spray on sealer. Just going to be a little weird painting in the reverse of what im used to but in a few weeks I may actually make something worthwhile.
  13. thank you I will check it out.
  14. I currently use badger createx paints (airbrush ready)but its only because I can pick it up locally. I am looking for web sites, part numbers or color Id's since I have been looking for a few days now and am soooooo confused by all the choices in paints and traits of them not to mention sites to get them from. Thanks Gary
  15. They look great I cant even catch a fish that looks that good let alone paint one.
  16. I like tungsten here on the upper bay and the potomac because when your trying to throw 1 1/2 oz in lead its a huge hunk of metal and it usually just hits the mat and stops tungsten is 1/2 the size for the same weight and normally gets through. I also like the smaller tungsten screw lock for my senkos and creature type baits because your mainly fishing grass and its a smaller profile so it gets through grass easily. Just my opinion.
  17. Just took some slivers of cork from my wifes wine bottle cork and slid(forced) them in when i was changing out the crummy rubber skirts for silicone(rubber ones always melt on me) slide the cork in the weight hole before you glue the weight back in. works great.
  18. Their shipping is horrible I took advantage of their 6 pay to buy a few new reels, a trolling motor and a few other things and it took 11 days for my stuff to get here..On top of that the trolling motor which was supposed to take longer to get here and it only took 5 days. Their online shipping is a joke.
  19. Ok I see everyone talking about devcon and other similar products so I went to devcons website and overwhelmed would be an understatement. Can someone please link a product for a lure topcoat. There is about 40 different versions of devcon and how many say 3-4 in cranks would you get out of the tubes you are linking. Thank You Gary
  20. I know this thread is a bit on the older side but I must say HA HA HA to do it molds(great if you have a ton of money) go to harbor freight if you want an inexpensive product to you can set yourself up with compressor and brush(es) for less than 100.00. The other thing is their return policy is second to none IF you have a store nearby. I do. Added a link http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=95630 Get your drum sander and other power tools there as well..Great place if your on a budget.
  21. But then you have to take into account the state and local taxes along with the cost of operating and raw product rising. Not to mention im sure they take care of the employees pretty well pay wise so that has gone up as well. Still worth every dollar. Just broke 2 of them last month only cost me 50 to replace, got a bargin because its usually 50 each for shipping but they did them both in one tube so that was awful nice of them. Loomis for life.
  22. Just got back from Point Pleasant NJ with my 201e7 on a kistler flippin stick and I will say they hold up to numerous 40# stripers and the also had as much as 8oz of weight on them to hold bottom flounder fishing perfect I must say. I have a few 101D also I use bass fishing normally and the few striper trips and all I can say is oil, grease and done you'll never buy another reel.

Well got back from Kerr today..Lets just say I don't know why I left the Potomac to try somewhere new :-[ . We did have a good time and caught about near 20+ keepers a day but they were tough to pattern. We fished uplake from Satterwhite on sat fished almost all brush (i wont carolina rig) but could not get them to eat anything but baby brush hogs in anything but green pumpkin. Took a few one smaller smallmouth colored cranks but not many Biggest for sat being 4.2 lbs. Sunday I decided to go around the point and downlake as far as I could but could not get them to bite the BBH's so decided to try a grey/blue mans baby 1- and racked em up casting to cover on the bank til about 2 then it was lockjaw time. Caught 5 in the 3-3.5 lb range and the rest between 1.5-3lb Ill see if the sd card works or not when it dries out and post some pics. Word of advice DO NOT leave your camera bag in the livewell when you fill it up......... Hope my little tidbit of info helps everyone out if you were looking for it and thanks for the info.
