  1. Nice job! The thinned devcon is the way to go to seal. Not only is it easy, but it wil harden the outer "shell" of the wood as well. Definatly makes for a smooth paint job.
  2. Thanks. Eric

  6. Thanks Marty. Very well said. The bass are the competition. That is what I was trying to state in my post. All the rest of what lure builders do is part of the maddness. ;D
  7. Yeah, these are all mine. As long as the bass bite, that is all that matters.

Nice. Definatly like the brown & mustard colors. Are you cutting your own circut board or buying it pre-fabbed?

That green 'un will do well on Lake Hickory.
  19. What color and type of paint were they using? Dick Nites is supposed to be a super clear finish.
  20. Big M I use denatured alcohol as my thinning agent. Mix the epoxy as normal, then thin with 5-6 drops of alcohol. Check the consistancy, it should be a little thicker than a lacquer or urethane clear coat
  21. I still use Devcon on the plastic lures. The only difference is that I will thin the Devcon before using it on a plastic lure. I use 2 thinned coats and have not had any adverse reaction or noticable loss of action. I am however interested and will be trying the Dick Nite's lure coat on a few in the next few days. Eric
  22. Nice! How thick is the round body lure?
  23. Appreciate it.
  24. Thanks folks.

Most people use toothpicks to push the epoxy into the drilled hole. Coat the spiral warps with epoxy before placing into the drilled hople as well. After pushing the hook hanger into place, wipe off the excess epoxy that flows out.
