Finished Batch
i'm not quite understanding the 22 bullet rattle, have u put a ball bearing inside and then sealed it off?

Slow rolling a buzzbait
actually if u go onto the stanley lures website, famous for the ribbit frog, they have the exact same rig and they call it the "buzzit".

Stocking the tackle box
Well its my first time ever making a spinnerbait, and to be honest it takes alot of effort. Very time consuming compared to what i expected. Anyways, i've tried to copy the vision lures spinnerbaits. And i do like mine because they have unique and better quality skirts. These are proto types! I was experimenting. What do u guys think? SKIRTS: THE COMPLETED BAIT:

best swimbait??
(Hard body baits) 3:16 - armegeddon or wake bait Jerry rago - Tool bait Spro - BBZ-1 (great bait for the price) Soft body baits Huddleston Deluxe Swimbait by far. These baits are big so a good swimbait rod is needed G.Loomis makes a great line of swimbait rods. you want a round reel, i like them as they can handle the bigger fish, thicker line and bigger baits better. Personally you cant go wrong with an Abu, EXT or 6500. But for you shimano guys and Calcutta 400B, 400TE, or the best money can buy 400Te DC. Diawa Luna's are also great reels. Alot of the pro videos that i've watched and talked to some pro's and guides they say mono is the way to go, braid is stronger but not their preference, there reasoning is the stretch helps during the fight and the thickness of the mono allows you to fish the bait ALOT slower. There recomended line weight was 25lb test. I like trilene big game and maxima ultra green, 2 great TOUGH monofilaments.

Making a jointed hard bodied Swimbait
I'm bending stainless into the loops that i am goin to expoy into the body and just connecting them. I dont like the pin idea that some baits have, seems like the looped wire would hold up better.

Braided Line Questions
I've gone 5 years now, dont need to change it yet. Breaking it is easy, i've got 50lb and all i do is wrap it around my arm 2 times, always have a jacket or a shirt rolled around your arm, and then walk up the bank, or to the back of the boat. always point your rod tip at the line so it goes straight from the knot to your arm, dont clamp down on the reel and do the same, you'll brake warp the worm gear inside or the spool.

Braid for everything
I'm almost the complete opposite, i use maxima and trilene, max clear, and maxima ultragreen are what i use for cranks, grubs, worms. I use trilene big game for swimbaits, u can fish them slower with mono. But i do use braid aswell, i always use braid on jigs, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, topwater and pitching. the problem that I found with braid and topwater was that it is a dark colour. What u need is tuffline braid, the normal stuff, it is white and is just a little thicker than Tuffline XP. The good thing about normal tuffline that i love, is that it has no memory, most braids have a coating and if u bend them they stay like that, with the normal tuffline it is super limp, doesn't have a coating its just plain braid and thats the reason for it being a little thicker, to prevent it from abrasion, it's still way thinner than mono of the same test, and i cant cut it with scissors or snips, need a blade. I also find braid if used alot in ceramick guides creates grooves that will slice any line.

Tell me the truth.....
Looks pretty good, only concerns are short strikes, and covering the eye of the hook. U have alot of material hanging in the back, and u wrapped to far up, u should also bring the material to the back of the eyes it allows for more material and better positioning of the hook on the fly

Making a jointed hard bodied Swimbait
Over the past 3 days i've been carving, sanding, and remaking a swimbait. All i have to do now is connect the pieces together, add weight, add the lip, and paint. Right now without the weights and lip it weighs almost an ounce, its made out of white pine, it doesn't float as high as balsa and it weighs more, I didn't want to have to add to much weight to the bait. I'm making it for my godfather, he's doin a pike and laketrout trip and a swim bait would do him nicely. When i'm done, i'll hopefully be able to get some pics and post the results. Can't wait.

Belly Weight Question
easiest thing for belly weights is pencil lead, it fits right in the hole snug, i have a little bit of epoxy in the bottom, and then wood filler on top, clear coat, then paint, then 3 more clear coats.

Help with high water trout...
fish bends in the river, where the river takes a 90 degree turn, then fish in the slack water, in that calm water the silt falls to the bottom faster and gives the fish better visibility and oxygen levels, and its easier for them to swim, the bait fish will be there aswell Trust me, i grew up fishing for salmon, trout and steelhead
