  1. There were many, many times, me and My Old Fishing Buddy (God, rest his soul) would fish 12 - 16 hours and the fish wouldn't bite. The phone didn't ring. and the wife didn't *****. And we had a great day.
  2. I prefer the 1/16 oz. I've never broken off a head. And I don't like the Spider head. Ken
  3. Bass Pro has a backpack type tackle bag which holds several plastic lure boxes. It also has a compartment for a small cooler (not sure if it is included or not). And there may be a couple of rod holders attached to the bag. Give it a look. Ken
  4. I don't have the battery eating problem. I normally change the batteries once a year. I changed the batteries in January and they died last week (the last week of September). I probably fished 15 - 20 times this year. And mine uses either 4 or 6 AA. Ken
  5. I have one of the older Fishing Buddies made by Bottomline(before Hummingbird took over). It shows water temp., cover, structure and fish. I fish small water from a 12' flat tin. It serves all my needs quite well. And I got mine from Cabela's on closeout for 40 bucks. They operate on AA batteries and will not run off your trolling motor battery. Hope this helps, Ken
  6. I have the basic model made by Bottom Line before Hummingbird took over. Not great graphics, but, it displays depth, water temp, contour (structure), cover and fish. I use it probably 30 times a year and change batteries(Dollar Tree) once a year. Ken
  7. Bass Pro has the covers in stock. Ken
  8. Is there $300.00 differnce between the Pelican 10' and the Pond Prowler 10'? Ken
  9. Simply judging from the number of views this topic has received, do you think there is any interest in these little BASS BOATS. Ken
  10. Take a look at a Weldbilt @ weldbilt.com. Nice wide boats. See if they have a dealer near you.
  11. I would suggest a fiberglass repair kit. I repaired cracks in an aluminum boat this way, and used it for ten years with no problems. Ken
  12. I have a Fishin' Buddy made by Bottomline (prior to Hummingbird manufacturing them). I hang it on the side of my 12' jon and it gives me everything I need. Water temp, locates fish and shows depth of water and fish. Mine is the base model. Ease of use, no transducer needed and relatively low price, it is perfect for me. Ken
  13. Boyd Duckett reportedly caught a 10-3 on Saturday. Ken
  14. Has anyone ever used the Carolina Floaters. Bullet shaped floats to keep your worm, etc. off the bottom. Thanks Any info appreciated Ken
  15. I have never heard of it. Where is it located? Ken
  16. I purchased a clamp on base to use on rental boats. I added a 7" pedestal and swivel seat. The rental boats had 18" deep bench seats, so, I had to extend the clamp bolts on the base so it would fit the wider seat. It worked great. Once I purchased my 12' jon, I mounted pedestals to my bench seats. Ken
  17. I have one of the original ones made by Bottomline. I use it on my 12 foot jon and it works great. Batteries normally last one season. Ken
  18. Any of you use the weedless worm hooks with the wire under the hook point? What is your opinion on hookset with this type of hook as opposed to T-rigged. Thanks for your opinion Ken
