  1. Make sure your seats are less than 16" wide. I purchased the clamp from Academy Sports (@ $15.00). The boats I normally rent have 18" wide seats. I made some adjustments to the length of the threaded rods and it works great. I searched and researched many of the clamps and could find none that would extend any more than 16". Good Luck, Ken
  2. I prefer pond fishing to "big" water, and downsize my lures 4" worms and lizards, and mini-spinners and crankbaits. My 2 cents Ken

  4. I tried most of the fixes described above. All were temporary. I used a fiberglass repair kit to cover rivets. Let dry and sanded smooth and never had another leak. Ken
  5. I too have fished several times from an 8 footer. It is very cramped with a partner. I have set my sights on a 12' jon @ Academy. By the way, where do you fish small water around Birmingham? Ken
