  2. Not trying to be a jerk or anything, but there is no Citica 200e7. There's a Citica 200e and a Curado 200e7.
  3. I use an anchor trolley, but I don't know how you'd mount it on an inflatable.
  4. Those Luck E Strike "Tequila Sunrise" worms are still available and are still very productive at times. My brother-in-law and I caught a bunch on the 6" version of that worm (in the same color) at Watts Bar about a year ago. Newer isn't always better...especially on highly pressured lakes.
  5. Cabelas has had the Superlites on sale for less than $80 for a while now.
  6. Shaving the top of the front sight will move the POI up, I believe.
  7. The AVS68MXF is my primary light t-rig/shaky head rod. I have it paired with a Symetre 2500 and honestly have no complaints at all. It has surprising backbone for a Med., but is capable of casting fairly light lures well. I think you'll be pleased.
  8. They've been on clearance for at least a couple months now at several retailers, including TW, BPS, and Cabelas.
  9. I bought a Citica 200e and a Curado 200e7 within a few days of each other. The Citica is long gone but the Curado remains.
  10. I don't believe I say anything when I catch one...but I have been known to blurt out expletives when I lose one. ;D
  11. They're quite possibly my least favorite soft plastic, and I haven't thrown one in well over a year.
  12. We were discussing this subject yesterday in my Sociology class. It's funny how upset some people can get over the thought of kids seeing a naked body in public, or partially nude model in a Victoria's Secret ad, but have no problem taking their kids to a beach where the women typically wear bathing suits that expose much more of their bodies than a typical bra/panty set. I also find it funny that a fully naked tribesman/woman on TV is educational, but a naked person from a developed country on TV is pornographic. : People are weird.
  13. I haven't thrown one in well over a year. I honestly can't think of a soft plastic that I'm less likely to use, except perhaps a Fat Ika.
  14. I appreciate the advice, but I really don't like split-grip rods. I have an AVS68MXF that does a pretty good job of addressing the majority of my spinning needs. I'm really just looking for a lighter-powered version of the same rod.
  15. X2 My spinnerbait setup handles them just fine: Curado 200E7 and a 6'10" MH/MF rod.
  16. Well, it appears I won't be using their upgrade program afterall. I paired the Premier with one of the Sahara 1500's I picked up the other day and a spool of Sufix Siege that I found in the clearance bin at Walmart and it sold right away. Now I just need to clear out a few more things and I'll have a new 6'9" ML/XF Avid in my sweaty hands.
  17. I don't doubt that at all. Many people have experienced the same hassle-free exchange as you, but the blanket "over the counter free replacement" may not be true for all locations. Unfortunately, by the time you find this out, it's too late. YMMV.
  18. Not according to my local BPS. According to one of the Mgrs of the fishing dept, they had a meeting with Shimano early this year where Shimano asked them to "Look out for Shimano's interests" so they only do the over-the-counter free replacement for the first year. After that, it has to be sent back to Shimano...on your dime.
  19. While I haven't fished the LTB 6'8" M/XF, my primary spinning rod is an Avid 6'8" M/XF. It's my favorite rod, by far, and pretty versatile. It'll cast weightless worms and light shaky-heads very well, but in typical St. Croix fashion, it feels a little more stout than you'd expect from a "medium". I'm actually looking to pick up the 6'9" ML/XF to cover the lighter finesse lures a bit better. I thought about stepping up to the LTB, but I really don't like split-grip rods.
  20. Driver should've backed up and hit him again. That dude needs to be removed from the gene pool.

  22. I picked up a 6' lite/fast Premier spinning rod right before Easter but have never used it. I've had it for sale on a couple local forums for $60, but it's just not moving. According to the depreciation chart on St. Croix's site, it's worth $90 in trade so I can ship it back along with a check for $110 and they'll send me the Avid I've been eyeballin'. :-? Anybody here tried this?
  23. That's really not much of a problem. They weigh a little over 9 oz., which is right in line with most 2500-series reels. It shouldn't be a problem finding a 6'8"-6'9" ML rod that it'll balance fairly well with. Leaning towards the Avid AVS69MLXF at the moment...
  24. Possibly, but it's actually a little large and heavy for a panfish rig, imho. I'm thinking more along the lines of a 6'9" ML/XF rod and some 6# fluoro or 20# PowerPro with a 6-8# fluoro leader for light shaky head and floating worms. Either that, or one of them may replace the Mitchell 308Xe that's currently on my "trunk rod". Heck, I may do both.
