How well does it hold with an anchor?, How stable is it in a wind? The pond I fish has an almost constant wind. What size of anchor do you use?

Been looking serious at one of these. Any owners out there or what have you heard? Thanks

I've used 12# Nano on my Stradic Cl4,nrx852s combo for a couple months now. I use it straight with no leader, so far I'm impressed. It's sensitive with zero stretch. I'm not sure I'm convinced it casts that much further. I tie the recommended double polamar and never had any issues other than watching for fray line around the hook and re-tie a little more often. I personal hate the white color and try to darken an 18-24" section with a sharpie, but the color doesn't last long. Does the color bother the fish? I'm sure it probably bothers me more, but there may come a day that a less visible line may be preferred, though I've caught many fish on Nano so far.

This has been an interesting year. I was fishing soft plastics the other day and after a vigorous hook set I reeled in the most docile fish of my life. The 4/0 hook was in it's throat and had penetrated the upper potion towards its head. No life in the fish. I released it and it immediately went belly up. Wonder if I severed the spine or punctured its brain. First time anything like that has happened to me. Anybody had a similar experience?

They are a great bait. Rig them backward on a 4/0 or 5/0 ewg, weightless and hold on, they are fun!!

Happens all the time. Day to Day, Hour to Hour, and even one minute to the next. I've seen it slow for hours then hot for 4-5 minutes then back to slow.

I usually fish G.Loomis, but I do have a couple Cabelas XML rods that are fine, pretty reasonably price and seems to be on sale frequently.
