Can you add a Lowrance transducer to a Minn Kota Terrova without hindering the stow and deploy, tie straps getting in the way?

I am trying to make a good decision on which technology to go with Shallow water anchor or Trolling GPS. I have narrowed it to Talons over Powerpole and Minn Kota Ipilot over Motor Guide XI5. a set of talons would be around $3500 and the Minn Kota Ultrex Bow Mount Trolling Motor with i-Pilot Link US2 $2600.00. I fish Toledo Bend and Lake Fork and San Rayburn, What are the pros and cons of these I need advice I can only afford to buy one. Let me know your thoughts.

Put in at Hideaway Harbor on the center leg of Fork and fish going north on the west side bank creek come very close to bank great fishing as well as protected from wave action safe for your jonboat.

Bass_Fanatic I have fished your area a few years back it was the Red River I dont remember the pool but it was just north of Alexandria had a great trip, Is that area still producing good fish? any advice on lakes in your area that are a must fish? Maybe I could treat you to a day on the basin for a day in your area. Jewel Bait Jeff Kriet Squirrel Head is the best i have found for jigs and Big Bite Baits Jeff Kriet - Squirrel Tail Worm is the go to bait for me when things are tough the tail floats and they cant stand it it works great on bedding fish also.

I am Moving to South Louisiana (Atchafalaya Basin) Lake Henderson area, is anyone on here from that area or familiar with the water? I bought topos and aerials of the area looks like a lot of swamp and shallow lakes, I imagine a lot of flipping soft plastics. Any advice from locals on getting bit ? Thanks KJG

Has anyone been to this lake and can you tell me how the fishing is there for Large mouth bass, I have heard storys but not sure how true they are about the number of bass you can catch and size of the bass??

Yes Blue Bird Days Lots of sunn usually cooler days and a little windy. These are the choices I have in the area I fish. #1 Shallow Banks w/Brush #2 Shallow Banks w/Docks and Grass #3 hallow Grass beds no shade in this area middle of lake #4 Deeper points on Main Lake Brush piles in 10 ft. #5 Shallow Points away from Main Lake #6 Humps on Main Lake. I Have been thinking maybe I should go as deep as possible working the Brush Piles on the Main Lake / Less sun I'm not sure how this works but I think the deeper area would have a more stable temp or a slower change than shallow Maybe Caralina Rig?????? Have read about Carilina riging but have never fished it. What about drop shot is it possible in these shallow lakes???

I fish the Acadiana area. Henderson Swamp Lake Martin Spannish Lake Atchafalaya River area I also have fished Toledo Bend this year and Lake Fork. It is like drugs I cant think of anything else but the next fix. I have even been dreaming of fishing and reeling in the big one.

Louisiana Lightning was every young boys Hero when I was a kid a long time ago, not many Kids know of Ron anymore. I am leaving in three weeks going to Lake fork for a week and I am bound to run into the conditions I have discribed I would like to have a better game plan if that is possible.

I am a fairly new Bass fisher and I am having some success. I am in South Louisiana. I have good gear (Shimano reels and Rods) all the basic lures. I am having a rough time with all the fronts comming through one day 30 bites next day front comes through and not a bite. I have read some articles and not shure why I canot get one bite, I understand that this is a slow time but I meen I cant get one bite. I have tried down sizing to small jigs and worms worked slowly around cover no success. I will give you an example Tuesday 10 fish in the boat(overcast pre front) used a 6inch u-tale Zoom junebug worm texas riged. Wed a front rolled through and I went out Thursday tried same rig and nothing tried a bitsy jig black and blue in stained water !nada! tried 4 inch tiki worm fished wacky very slow arounds docks and brush. Really would like to at least get a couple of bites to know if they are still there are moved. I did not try deeper water but the water temp was not a whole lot cooler in just a day or two???????????? Not sure if I am going in the right direction on should grin and bear it or I have it all wrong and need help.
