Where do you normally fish from? I fish the river out of Sanford. Any luck with FOM? I am planning on fishing the Legacy Series with my son this year.

12 and 5 on 12/5
Went this weekend out of camp mack we ended up cathing about 30 fish on the southeast side of the lake. Most fish were between 12"-14" and a couple around 2 lbs. Couldn't find any of the big ones. Most of the fish were caught on flukes

Heading down to Camp Mack this weekend. What areas did you fish on Kissimmee? I have only been once before with limited success.

Lake Monroe in Central Flroida - St. Johns River
St Johns can be hit or miss as well. I believe there was just a shad spawn I was out yesterday and there were bunches of pods of small bait moving around the river at the mouth of Monroe. Look for the bait and the schoolies should be around. Water is still up and moving with the recent rains. Where are you putting in at?

Stick Marsh Hotels?
Very nice I didn't see any power but I guess we could bring solar panels, but it is lakefront. Parking might be a little tough. I'm sure the gators would slide in and keep you cozy at night. Any chance on getting a continental breakfast out there? ;D

Lake Yale, FL
Does anyone know what the water level is like at Lake Yale? Is the canal out from the ramp too low to launch? I have a small tournament on 4/18 and just trying to see if we need to work on a back up. Hopefully the recent rains have helped. Thanks in advance for the help.

fish weight guesstimation
As said before a lot has to do with the picture (camera angle, holding the fish out, etc). But most fishermen by nature tend to exaggerate a bit (all except me ). Just look at the Lunker Club in the back of Bassmaster Mag and you will see fish that are grossly over estimated.

Low Pressure Lakes in Central Florida
You might want to check out Holly Chain or Lake Yale, which are both in Lake county. They are both nice lakes and a little less pressured than Johns Lake or the other big chains.

New Quantum Energy Baitcaster...
Good luck on your new setup. Don't get frusterated with the BC, it will be frusterating at first. But will begin to feel natural after a little practice. I can't tell you how many fish I caught digging out a backlash when I first started w/ the BC. I would pick out the backlash and reel up the slack and feel the line swimming away.
