  1. congrats on your new PB
  2. yes sir it's the JM panfish model with 3# test
  3. I'd say an average trip of mine would be about 5 hours. longer trips in the boat and shorter ones while wading or fishing from the float tube.
  4. #1) get my 1st 5# LMB #2) start using crankbaits more #3) get more proficient with the jig #4) take my wife's grand kids fishing more often
  5. rebel teeny craw or panther martin gold/black 1/16 oz. spinners have worked the best for me so far
  6. looks like a great day. any day of fishing is good but fishing for smallies is hard to top
  7. most of mine have been taken using inline spinners or twisters. I plan to try other lures this spring/summer.
  8. I got a few late ice smallies from northern Minnesota this past weekend I thought I'd share. what a great way to end the ice season!
  9. I would think about adding a few panther martin spinners and/or a few rebel tenny craw cranks to your tackle bag. I think the suggestion of a longer rod would help out as well with longer casts.
  10. I'd say I average 2 trips a week for about 4 hours each. I fish hard water longer than softwater as far as hours per trip
  11. I also had a break through with jig fishing this year. Now I use them all the time
  12. lowrance expedition c with the map chip. use it all the time for soft and hard water
