  1. 619 Bassman try Anglers Arsenal In La Mesa over by Grossmont Center or Anglers Marine in Santee over by the Drive Inn.You will not Be dissapointed.I also Post on sdfish.com and my screenname is Fishindad so if you would Like more details pm me as I probably Fish The same Lakes as you and Loveland is by far my favorite Bass Lake.
  2. Possibly try fishing Larger Baits which can sometimes attract Larger fish.Work the same areas a little deeper for example if you are using T-riggged worms and catching dinks try a Bulky Profile Jig or a Creature style Bait in the same Location. When Fishing for Larger fish you may have to lower your average for better quality Fish. The Larger ones come Less frequently but are well worth the effort.
  3. Rattle snake JIGS From Anglers arsenal .com are top quality and have resulted in catching very large fish 8-)
  4. Normans crank baits Tried and true and still producing after all these years in all models. They also do not cost an arm and a leg like most of the Imported ones do.
  5. Sam Bass replied to Rob.Atl's topic in Fishing Tackle
I fish a lot of rocky lakes here in California and Mostly use Football heads usually in blk/red or blk/blue with a crawdad trailer.Net Bait Paca craws or Yamamoto craws.I have also attach flapping hogs,Kreatures,Roboworm pitchin craws and have had success with all of these Trailers on my Jigs.I usually go with 3/8 of an ounce and down to 1/4 if the bite is slow or up 3/4 if it is really windy to keep a better eye on my line. The water never drops below 55 degrees here so I never use Pork trailers that have more action in colder water.Crawdads a plentiful here so I Imitate them by slowly crawling my Jig then I give it periodic pops of the bottom to Imitate a fleeing Crawdad. If your not fishing the jig around any structure your wasting your time .I also found that if I am not losing at least one jig per outing IM fishing the wrong spots.Be sure to buy plenty of jigs cause you will lose them in order to catch fish were the Jig is most productive.
  6. The majority of people that Keep every Bass that they catch and Eat do not have the skill to even catch a large female let alone use Artificial lures and generally are part time Bass fisherman only fishing a few times a month.Live bait fishing can get rather expensive in certain areas.I only keep a Bass if its gut hooked with no chance for survival which rarely happens plus I have an Ocean very close by if I want fish that tastes a whole lot better.
  7. Depends on the time of day,Lake Location, water temp,Cloud cover etc
  8. The best working baits this time of the year at Lake Jennings are any green colored fat Ikas flylined on a 4/0 ewg worm hook casted out over bottom structure.Let it sink to the bottom then dead stick it for at least two minutes or more with slight rod twitches in between. This technique will also work with football style jigs in black with red/blue or brown tones with pork or plastic crawdad style Trailers coated with pink smelly Jelly crawdad flavor.Senkos also work wonders in the 4 inch size in the green colors.Fish these baits slow and you will catch fish in this Lake and any other lakes in the San Diego area.If your a Tournament fisherman and need a quick limit Dropshotting works well But your average fish will tend to be smaller.
