  1. I've bought two of these and I did catch fish in the back of a pocket last weekend in shallow water and was moving it relatively fast. I like the colors they have - especially the Firetiger. I agree with Micro on having to reel it fast to get noticable wobble. I still couldn't hear anything close to the boat like a regular rattle trap type bait. I'm not sold on it just yet, but I did have one with both sets of hooks across the mouth so he wanted it for sure. I'll be using it again this weekend in a club tourney as long as the water temp stays in the 50's. I'll also give it the Guntersville test in the Spring for the real test. Tight lines..
  2. I just recently had a club member share with me about throwing a weightless lizard and running it on top, and found it does catch fish. You can also doing the same with a Zoom ole Monster around pads as well. Does a good job.... J2
  3. Something the G-Man Swindle said while fishing with Zona on the WGFS in Mexico right after he hooked a fish, and it had something to do with " I can play, all I need is to get chalk on my feet and I can score". Maybe somebody else remembers the words exactly, but it was the way he said it, and the way it came out. I was dying... ;D
  4. 6 years old on vacation with my dad right after he got back from Vietnam. Caught a small trout - Swallowed the hook, as most fish do with the attention span of a 6 year old. Wanted to keep it alive, and my Dad let me take it back to the cabin in a bucket. Of course he knew it was going to die, but he knew he had to let me try to save it. He passed 7 years ago from Agent Orange related Cancer, but instilled in me the passion of fishing. Started my boy when he was 5 pond fishing. At 8 years old he decided he wanted to fish with "fake baits" like me. I'm on my 2nd boat now, and he's my favorite partner. He can work a fluke, jerkbait, shakeyhead with the best of 'em. He took 7th in my club tourney last month at 11 years old from the back of my boat, and he bought his own Senko's in the color he wanted and fished with nothing else all day. You should see me smiling about it right now. Couldn't be more proud. Thank goodness I caught 'em late in the day cause he had me beat at noon. I didn't have the same color, and he wasn't sharing. Well maybe he would have, but I wasn't going to ask. Take your kids fishing. The memories last forever.....
  5. Great interview. Good questions and insights. Jeff seems like a good guy. Setting a time limit for a given area is something I need to start forcing myself into. I know I stay too long - too often. I also agree on the co-angler point as well. Very well done. I'll have to find the other interviews now..
  6. Glad to be here. Need to know what Senko77 snacks on. Wished I had a little of whatever he was having while I was on Seminole
  7. I bring the strawberry & PB crustables and diet Mtn Dew.... but I typically end up eating them on the way home. Time flies on the water when your trying to get 'em the boat before weigh-in. Need that cookie reciepe from KVD though... Plus Skoal & a towel for the boat...
