I am right handed, and all my baitcasters are right handed.

Buzzbaits have always been best for me in late spring around June, but I don't see any reason they wouldn't work now.

I use a powell 765 MH flipping rod with a shimano curado 7:1 ratio reel. This has worked well for me so far.

The only thing about it I'm not wild about is its abrasion resistance.

What does B.A.S.S. stand for

Well i've narrowed it down to these two brands. Im am looking for a rod that is a little over 7 feet , med-heavy, or just heavy haven't decided yet. the heaviest line it will probably be spooled with is 20lbs. This rod will be used for jigs probably nothing heavier than 1oz. I want a light rod thats very sensitive that has a strong backbone for hard hooksets, and i want it to have a fairly fast tip for quick hook sets. Does anyone have any suggestions between kistler and powell. Thanks
