  2. i got out of green day post nimrod. they got wait to maintstream to follow pop culture.
  3. i too fish from the back of the boat about 90% of the time. i agree with everyone else about the presentation. also i do not know what type of area you are fishing but for instance if you end up running up a creek channel that is not too wide like i have here i just fish the opposite side of the boat and have him keep us centered in the channel. Now if it is on the lake and we are running down a bank i let him cast and as he is about 3/4 to 1/2 reel in i cast further up that where he just was and by the time i am 3/4 to a 1/2 he is casting then we just repeat is so we are both kind of hitting unfished areas so to speak. hope opens up some options
  4. so far this year i have had luck on silver flat tailed flukes with just the weight of a 4/0 hook on top water or let it slowly sink 8 inches. zoom trick worms neon green/yellow/pink fished the same way as a fluke, 7-10" plastic worms rigged for the bottom and finally four inch pwer grub on a 1/4oz jig head pumpkins seed, or green pumpkins, just all depends on clarity.
  5. like most people have said natural colors work really well. i use alot of berkley power grubs i believe is the brand. pumpkin seed and i think green pumpkin seed 4inch. you can also feed them onto a spinnerbait hook or a jig hook. or use a jig and pork. just make sure you match the weight of the lure to the rod you are using for action. not sure what the current is if at all where you are fishing in the reservoir.
  6. so you were able to ensure that it was an alligator gar and not another type? B.B.S.
  7. is there actually baitfish in the pond for the "fish" to chase? and one thing to do is throw out more than just a topwater frog. use weedless rigged worms or lizards or anything of that sort and try to get them that way. i catch bass year round on slow action plastics. takes a bit of time but is worth the process. or you could wait till the summer comes and if that floating junk disapates you could throw poppers or buzzbaits in early morning or late afternoon and have luck too. if you do not catch whatever they are on those minor tips then they are not bass for sure. hope that helps a bit B.B.S.
  8. lol now i would not go that far! i am originally from new york :'(..so no S. accent here. other than the constant weather changing and M.N. not being able to make up here mind it is not too bad....but there are plenty of big bass i have came across to make it a better place. B.B.S
