My mom had colon cancer about 4 years ago. Her's had already spread into one of her lymph nodes, so she took chemo. But with prayer and our support, she got through it. been living fine for the past 2 years. I'll pray for you grandpa and you. It's also real tough on the family.

I've seen all of the rods around here that everyone's making, and doing a great job at it by the way. I've really getting interested in it, and i'm wanting to try to build one over spring break. I've read a few books and watched the videos at mudhole. Any tips on what components I should get. It don't have to be pretty, but I want it to be functional Max at about 50 or 60 $ on the whole thing. Any thoughts? Danke

A few years ago I watched Aaron Martens use the BassTrix minnow. If I recall, he said that he really liked this bait, but I haven't heard anything about it since. Well, I went out today..... Tried to target suspending bass, instead we caught 3 crappie. Oh well, a fish is a fish.

I'm fishing a pond, we do use a boat, but usually stay in a spot for a fairly long time. I've never had as much success as I did this winter, maybe the fishing gods are catching up to me? I'm fishing as slow as ever, so that's not it. I'm wondering the location of the bass. We found them in about 20 foot of water, and we had great success slow crawling jigs and droppshotting them. I guess I just gotta get back into the warm water spirit. But if this don't change, I might be saying I CANT WAIT FOR WINTER!! and that just wouldn't be right.

Well, here's the all time greatest question of bass fishing: Why aren't they biting. But seriously, me and a buddy of mine can pull a few keepers out on everytrip of the year. I caught my PB (9.4) on this past Christmas Eve, while there was snow on the ground. But now that the waters finally starting to warm up, we've gotten skunked the past 2 weeks or so. I've tried my usual setups: jigs, worms, cranks, topwater... it's just not cutting it. So here's the question, are the bass suspending? If not, what! What would you recommend? Thanks
