  1. you can create a "stringer box" like this guy did.
  2. shoreline is pretty bare and shallow, random downed trees/picnic benches usually produce pretty well. theres exposed rock in the area by the gaging station & dam. which NE creek arm are you talkin' about that little cove? if so it's filled with stumps and gravel it's not too silty. i'll make sure to re-check that road bed area and report back when its ice out. the drop off by baypoint beach is usually matted with grass. i've never gone towards winter cove on the boat i'll have to go scope that out along with the drop off by baypoint before the slop comes. could your outline your creek line so i can compare it with everyone elses? and can you highlight that bend you're talkin about in the NE arm i just wanna make sure we're talkin about the same area. and there are definitely not many SM or walleyes in here, there aren't even any dink SM. there are some monster pike roaming though. im planning to make a map with everyones idea of the creek channel and my own if you guys are kind enough to post a rough drawing.
  3. if it isn't too much trouble could you draw over the map with your theoretical creek channel? so i can compare it with mine. i think theres a channel coming from the creek near the island too. but i may be wrong considering im new at this. :-[
  4. giant bullet sinker, 1oz or higher, braid, heavy wire hook, peg the bullet, T-rig your fav plastic. hold on tight.
  5. Found some pictures/maps of my local lake online and i'm wondering if you guys could help me interpret them. I'm just trying to pick your brains and hopefully discover something about my home lake that i haven't noticed before. 1) how do i read the topo map 2) any areas you would consider productive
  6. it's a copolymer, and I usually only throw Rapala DT series.
  7. I picked up a crankin' set up recently. It's a 7ft 2in Crankin' Carrot Stix. I have a Shimano Currado E7 mounted on it with 15lb Yo-Zuri Ultrasoft. I'm just wondering how much will the line effect my crank's depth. Say I was using a 14ft diver approximately how deep would my bait be diving?
  8. take a picture of how your brakes are set up and post it.down is off and up is on fyi. also theres a "break in" period for these reels it usually takes a solid day of fishing to break it in.
  9. i got a spool of 15lb ultra soft for my casting reel, think that'll cause any problems? i don't really want a slinky on my hands ;D
  10. theres no need to get my money back i love the stuff. my ritual before tournaments is squeeze a bit onto my toothbrush.
  11. i've heard alot about the allbright knot and debates about joining mono/flouro with braid so i decided to snoop around the internet to find some more info which lead me to this. opinions?
  12. jig & pig the dock, that clump of grass, that tree THOROUGHLY. also try throwing a senko or floating worm in those same areas. you can also use a spinner bait if you can reel fast enough to keep it from getting burred in the grass. a buzzbait would be nice too.

  15. Not all the fish in the spot in case the spot is likely to hold more than 1 or 2 fish are in the mood to bite a speeding bait, you catch the ones that is on the mood to hit fast moving baits and then attack the spot with slower moving baits to tease those fish that are in more neutral mood. Catching one fish doesn 't necessarily mean you found them. x2 x3 x5
  16. im selling a gently used st croix legend tournament crankbait rod. 160 shipped to your door in a PVC tube.
  17. Absolute nonsense. I my humble opinion of course. Buy one of these http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_10203083_100011010_100000000_100011000_100-11-10 and one of these http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/pod/horizontal-pod.jsp?id=0038875&navCount=3&parentId=cat20327&masterpathid=&navAction=push&cmCat=MainCatcat20166-cat20327_TGP&parentType=index&indexId=cat20327&rid= Use each on a regular basis for 6 months and see which one is still in one piece. The BPS bag lasted 6 months before the seams started splitting and the zippers broke. The Cabela's bag saw heavy use for 2.5 years, still looks almost new. When it comes to soft tackle storage, the Cabela's products stand above anything else. it's hit or miss man, my cabelas bag only lasted 4 trips until the strap ripped off. :
