  1. Welcome Kathy to the forums and retirement!
  2. I understand there's lots of boats in Florida Ajp72, so I'd keep looking and not take on someone else's headache...
  3. Hahaha, he was 10 yards away up in what's left of the tules with me on Saturday! You'll probably have a chance to experience it come May, at least you'll know you're around fish...
  4. Hahaha, I've gotta say that's some good shootin', especially the one (second picture) that charged the boat!
  5. Nice! Now I've gotta ask, were those carp pinned in the air or in the water? Wish some thing could be done about keeping the sea lions out of the Delta...
  6. Hello Jacob, did the owner say which shop has done the work on the boat as they may have done a compression test and know the hours on the motor. Does the owner have the service records to give you an idea when the last tune up was conducted and what exactly was done. What's the condition of the trailer, tires, and most importantly the wheel hubs. And to answer your original question on what the boat's worth, NADA guide or Kelly's Bluebook may be helpful. JB
  7. It's a 14 year old aluminum boat that's in "good" condition. Would you prefer "great" or "excellent" condition? Is a 25hp going be enough motor to move you and say two other people with gear safely and expeditiously across any body of water you may fish? Are those manual or electric downriggers? gulfcaptain and Bluebasser86 make very good points about a test ride to answer your questions and whether everything works. Enjoy the process as the right boat is worth your hard earned monies
  8. Beautiful boat, congratulations on your TZX coup!
  9. Congratulations on your new boat Mikeyslikz, hope your live wells will always be full!
  10. Caia326, welcome to Bass Resource from Northern Cali!
  11. Welcome NinjaAbassin to the forums!
  12. Hello Rick and welcome to the forums, Semper Fi !
  13. I'm gonna agree with N Florida Mike on this. As for a monster hook set... I've found the unofficial breaking point of my line on more than one occasion. And then to have that cross eyed 8lber come up out of the water to throw my hook as I'm trying figure out was it the line or the knot... Good news is I found sharper hooks don't require as much effort... Good fishing everyone
  14. Welcome FrankN209 to the forums!
  15. One of those heavy duty 35 gallon garbage bags full of water out sturgeon fishing on the bay. It was running with an outgoing tide and put up one hell of a fight!
  16. Those AZ bass are gonna sure miss getting their picture taken. Be safe brgbassmaster
  17. That's a slab and on St. Patrick's Day no less!
  18. After a day on the salt, I'll rinse off the rod and reel with fresh water. Then hit both with a light coat of WD-40 and wipe 'em down. If it works....
  19. Diesellnc, as mentioned, take your time and research the boat brands and models you're interested in buying. In looking boats attached to the two links, the Triton has a lien held by his bank that the seller doesn't know the amount....?
  20. Congratulations on your new boat and that is just in time for spring!
  21. Ghostshad, 20oz minimum would be my recommendation as the heavier grade will be more comfortable to fish on, wear better and last longer. I just had my boat redone with 24oz carpet and it is a noticeable difference over the old rug. And congratulations on your retirement! Good fishing, JB
  22. Optimas are great batteries, I missed out on the Edwin Evers Classic promotional. My Ranger four bank charger had no issues charging 'em, but doesn't differentiate between battery types....
