  1. @Nitro 882, the update is appreciated. Good to hear a solution was found and you’re going to be back on the water in short order enjoying the benefits of your new Mercury ProXS. Good fishing
  2. Congratulations @NorcalBassin on the newest member and fishing partner of your family!
  3. Having a SS (a 23p Fury in my case) just seems like a no-brainer attached to the business end of a ProXS. As to why SS as opposed to aluminum- it is my understanding the SS prop doesn’t flex under load as aluminum does giving much better performance.

Spike-it markers are in the boat and allow me to quickly add color/accent to a variety of the soft plastics I throw. Off the water, I have Spike-it plastic bottles of the same color/scent to “reload” the markers by dipping the felt in the bottle dye. This and keeping all markers together in a small ziplock baggie in the boat is my solution to the problem @Bluebasser86 mentioned above.
  5. Good to hear from ya @Hammer 4! Just seeing San Pedro (san PEE-droh) brings back childhood memories of living in SoCal. Again, welcome back!
  6. Personally, I’d thank the shop for taking the old motor off my hands. Since there was no mention of any disposal fee for the old motor, let the shop have the potential of helping someone out in need of any salvageable repair parts. Every time the new XS fires up and you’re driving your boat under power the difference 20+ years of technology as well the enjoyment, reliability and fuel efficiency will make the old motor an afterthought.
  7. As stated above by other members @Nitro 882, I’m also very happy with my Mercury four stroke. It’s definitely nice not having to buy Opti two stroke oil in bulk after years of doing so. I did check and there are two models, the base four stroke and the ProXS, which would meet your requirements.
  8. I’m in agreement with boonie hat opinion @Jig Man , however I prefer the Columbia brand. And I’m also wearing a buff.
  9. @bishoptf , thanks for bringing up that Berkley site. My apologies all, I also posted it thinking it was a way for Berkley to clear out old merchandise and get stocked up.
  10. Congratulations @ATA on your decision to purchase your first boat. Great advice from fellow members, particularly @detroit1 in regards to the trolling motor which was further emphasized by @A-Jay ’s on how this boat is currently rigged. And definitely meet the service manager where ever you buy your boat and put his number in your phone. I didn’t notice any electronics mounted on this boat, other than a bracket at the helm. Would the electronics package be the those from 2023 or current 2026 units? Are the batteries and onboard charger lead acid or lithium? @Capt Ed mentioned Polar Craft went out of business in 2024, are parts going to be difficult to source 5-10 years down the road? Just keep your options open and continue to be diligent in your search for the perfect fishing platform.
  11. Miles Garrett going to LA pretty much further solidified the NFC West as the toughest division in the NFL. I was kinda surprised by the move, LA gets a two time defensive MVP with a hefty salary while Cleveland’s getting Verse still on a rookie contract and 1st in 2027, a 2nd in ‘28 and a 3rd in ‘29. And it’s still a couple of months to August
  12. Mend-it glue has helped solve this situation for me @Randy Price , T-rigged senkos get repaired with the glue which I use as wacky rigged baits. Fish continue to bite those repaired baits and that includes other brand named worms and creature baits.
  13. Hello @Pablo Chaves from Northern California, welcome Pablo to Bass Resource and the Forums!
  14. Because depending on the fishery @Gimruis, it catches fish 😎
  15. I fish a dropshot quite often, and it’s pre-tied because I don’t want to mess with tying it up out on the water. Sometimes it’ll be straight braid, otherwise it’s 15lb flouro to braid via an Alberto knot. I have broken out a spinning rod to dropshot periodically but I’d prefer not to since the Delta is a shallow water, target rich environment.
  16. Thanks @ATA for posting this, fortunately there were no fatalities. And thanks for the picture @Peacedivision of the yacht docked there on the east side of Werner Dredger Cut. What one isn’t able to appreciate from the picture is the cut is 50 yards wide at most from levee top to levee top and the channel narrows prior 5 mph zone at the yacht. After safety passing the docked yacht, if memory serves me right, it’s about 3-5 seconds up on pad before you have to drop off plane for the 5 mph zone 90° blind port (left) turn at Discovery Bay. As for those unsure or unfamiliar about the speed limit when passing a docked boat, maybe this will help with clarification- “In California, the speed limit for passing a docked boat is 5 miles per hour.” California State Parks (.gov) California State Parks (.gov) California Speed Limit Regulations According to California State Parks and the Division of Boating and Waterways, you must maintain a speed of 5 mph or less when your vessel is within certain distances of specific areas to ensure safety and prevent wake damage. 200 Feet Distance: You must slow to 5 mph when within 200 feet of a landing or dock where boats are tied up. This also applies to swimming beaches, diving platforms, or lifelines. 100 Feet Distance: The 5 mph limit also applies when you are within 100 feet of a bather or a person in the water. Be safe out there
  17. Congrats @LonnieP on your new ride! Gotta say from the pics, boat and truck make a very nice looking rig.
  18. Congratulation on the new kitty!
  19. “So not only did he slime everything, he bled everywhere on my basically new carpet.” @casts_by_fly you can remove that any blood stains on the carpet whether they are fresh or old with Hydrogen Peroxide. It’ll bubble up in seconds and won’t damage or discolor the carpet.
  20. I just figured it’d go away but now it’s not just the Facebook logo, it’s also the Instagram logo as well. As stated above by many other members, it happens every time you go to another topic on the Bass Resource site. I’ve cleared my cache a couple of times, I don’t have Facebook, Instagram or the BR app and I access BR through Google. I’d just like to know from other BR members if this started after clicking on a “I’m not a bot” authentication challenge here about a week or so ago.
  21. Yes @Justbass11, reputable company with quality products in my opinion. I received a Hydrowave as a gift a few years back which shipped from their shop. It arrived damaged and after talking with them about the situation they shipped a replacement to me prior to my returning the damaged unit.
  22. An older bait, manufactured in different locations over the years (left to right USA, Mexico, China) and yet still effective.
  23. It shouldn’t, it’s plausible. I didn’t want to mention a Raiders minority owner having any influence in the hiring of their HC while helping the Patriots out at the same time. Good luck on Sunday
  24. I believe this is part of/is the problem you’re experiencing. I used Ardent on my reels until I had the same issue and discovered the Ardent grease “crystallized” when I reopened the reels. I switched over to Shimano grease, which a lot of BR members recommended, chucked the Ardent in the trash and haven’t any further issues.
  25. In an effort to close the gap, the Cards signed former LA Rams OC Mike LeFleur as their head coach. Three newly minted HCs outta the NFC West and the Niners signed former ATL HC Raheem Morris as their new DC. I read somewhere Bezos has offered 6.6 billion for the team, but it’s probably closer to 6 7, six seven 🤷🏼‍♂️. Of course as mention above on this thread, this could be nothing but smoke and a massive disinformation campaign unleashed by the Patriots……
