  1. i know but what method do you use to tell if it is clear stained or muddy cause its really difficult for me to tell
  2. how do you tell the water clarity? i look at it and i can see through it does that make it clear? how do you tell? Also instead of starting a new thread i figured i'd post it here i recently bought the bass proshops stik-o. i have an albino three inch and a silver flake three inch. what other colors should i get to even it out so i can have the best variaty so i can cover the most situations any help on both topic would truley be apreciated thankyou.
  3. what should i fish at 2:00 2:30pm today i was thinking of picking up a jig and pig and fishing it around this boardwalk thing that people walk on to feed ducks and fish with young kids. the kids run on it and stomp on it so it could scare the fish but it is shaded for the fish so i figured its worth a try. will this work?? if so what color should i get and what weight i get and how should i fish it. we got a lot of heavy rain last night and i'm thinking the water will be murky so is a dark jig the way to go. also what type of worm should i fish in these condiontions and what color. anyother lure ideas would be greatly apreciated. thanks please reply soon.
  4. no it wasn't the president in that picture butit was probably a fake
  5. i would just like to thank Rebbasser and all the other guys for helping me out. when firsted joined this site i didn't no anything about lures and you guys got me on the right track. but most importantley rebbasser helped me with worm fishing. worm fishing is probably the most popular ways to bass fish. i remember when i was a wee lad i would go to the local pond or lake and see that the only thing anyone ever through was worms plastic ones. i knew from then on i wanted to learn how to fish them. it all started with one pack of babybass tiki-stiks i casted one then that was it. he told me just keep chucking them and whenever i got impatient or thought i should switch i remembered just keep chucking them and to be pateint. so i did and on the first day i started fishing them i got my pb a 14 incer 1 and a half pound largemouth. nothing huge but it was a pb for me. SO THANKYOU REBBASSER!!!!!!!
  6. it doesn't help you catch more fish as much as it makes the fish hold on longer so you have a longer amount of time to get a hook set when your fishing with plastics thats why most plastic baits are salt impregnated. you only use scent for plastic baits.
  7. i didn't hear about that but my cousin was on the computer and i was playing video games and he said you wanna see a funny picture and i loked of and i see this guy standing on a boat in the middle of New Orleans holding a rod in one hand and a striper in the other. it was preety funny.
  8. if you are fishing with it and it gets torn up then take it off and rig it backwards.
  9. try wave worm's tiki stiks they are really soft
  10. k i figured it was the line cause first i had some southbend line it was really cheap which is why i bought it 1.45 for 900 yards anyways spiderwire i thought was good but i know it sucks now i was using 6 pound test. so i don't think a 2/0 hook and a 3" Stik-O would go anywhere on 8 pound suffix but your oppinon is always good to have so what do you guys think thanks a lot
  11. ok here is the problem my last couple of outings my knots have been really bad. i was fishing once and i broke off until i lost all my hooks! then yesterday the same thing i got broken off like 4 times. i am fish a 3 inch stik-O on a 2/0 offset shank wormhook EWG. i am using a 6.6 foot medium-heavy rod and a dawia d force reel the knot is a palomar. i respooled once cause i was using cheap line. the i put spiderwire on and had the same results. i'm switching back to the other stuff cause i did better with that. i was thinking of using a double clinch knot from know on. please give me some help with this one it will be greatly aprecated.
  12. watch your line carefully after you get your first fish you will get used to it. you will feel a tap tap and then the fish will take it our the line will start to move on its own away from you either way set it. i fish my 5" worms by casting tem just in front of the lillys and let them fall this is in about 4-5 feets of water i get the majority of my bites on the fall down to the floor so watch carefully then. hope that helps.
  13. and i have tiki stiks but they are like 8 bucks a pack! wal mart and sports athourity none of the stores that have low prices have good baits and the stores with high prices have good brands but not the right baits of the good brands
  14. ok but here is the problem none of the places i go to have anything but kinamis and senkos i look for yum dingers but they have every bait that yum makes exept for their worms

  18. ok i was fishing today and i caught 9 fish a 9.5incher 4 10 inchers 3 11 inchers and a nice 12 incher. i caught them all on a baby bass colored kinami. here is my problem they all got preety torn up after only like 2 or 3 fish is this normal for a plastic bait. i need more worms i am heading out tomorrow for an outing but i will go by my bait shop first so what bait should i get. i was fishing the kinamis by casting them just in front of the pads letting them sink and then thats how i got all my fish. so i need a bait that is more durable and that i could fish the same way. should i get senkos or what? any help would be greatly apreciatted thanks
