  1. they are a creature type bait with 4 legs and 2 ails
  2. Like many have said...a senko type stick bait...I persoally started with BPS Stick-o's, Kinami Flash, and the Strike King Zero's....I would also say an original Zara Spook or Super Spook Jr. may take time to learn but very productive during a topwater bite
  3. Sounds good....I was going to say a kistler or carrot stix
  4. I use a 6'6'' M BPS Crankin' Stick and it works great for most except deep divers (>12 ft)
  5. So I went a little ebay crazy for the past month and here is how I faired Quantun Energy E750PT 89 + 8 sh/h Kistler Magnesium TS 7'H 89 + 16 sh/h Shimano Curado 200e7 150 free sh/h Pflueger Patriarch 6.1 LP 117 Pflueger Patriarch 6.1 WLP 109 + 16 sh/h for both reels e21 Carrot Stix Gold 6'10'' MH 138 + 15 sh/h So how do you think I did?
  6. PFLUEGER....tried my new curado and patriarch side by side and I pick the patriarch hands down....don't get me wrong.....I like my curado but put the patriarch and the president spinning reel together and it's all pflueger
  7. Fish Fishburne won a few BASS events...or at least one I know of...Reppin' team Grandma 8-)
  8. After getting my Patriarch, Pflueger is in the running...we'll see how my new curado works out though.
  9. yep...colors are differnt
  10. That kit is a whole lot of sexy shad
  11. Kinami baits were "developed" by Derek Yamamoto and ARE senkos by another name...the baby bass color that is available at walmart is one of my favorite colors
  12. It appears as if the topic has changed. He fishes many small watershed lakes in TN, GA, TX, and FL with a mean depth of 5-7 ft never more than 12...He actually said so when he did a show on these small bodies of water.... Don't forget he caught the first bass of the first officially sanctioned BASS tourney.
  13. pflueger president hands down. The mitchell advocet is good reel for $20
  14. It's been in the 50's here in KY for the past 3 days and woke up this morning to 20's and a solid inch thick sheet of ice
  15. Okeechobie Fats bag as well as a Bass Masters bag for my cranks but Looking to upgrade for more space to either a backpack or a larger bag
  16. I recently found a game for PS1 during a cleaning spree that has to be one of the worst games I have ever played. Don't remember the name but the best way to catch fish was to DEADSTICK a SPINNERBAIT. To land a fish you had to fight it until it jumped then reel it in like mad when in the air, completely ridiculous. The sizes were off too on the game....here are some screens I took with my phone
  17. That looks like the same reel to me....for $39 if it holds up it should be a god deal
  18. I've never used the trailers but have used 3x and elaztech and that stuff is good for one outing...it tends to shrink and melt after use....and never store it with other plastics....melts all over them >
  19. Well...Kalifornia, Florida, Georgia and Texas have different rules. For the rest of us, 5 lbs rocks! 8-) Same here where I live in KY, 3lbrs can be hard to come by...My personal best is a little over 4 but I have only had one real fishing year so far.
  20. So it turns out I couldn't get the Summit so I just ordered a Curado 200e7 for 150 w/ free shipping on eBay. Makes my first shimano so we'll see how it goes. As soon as I get the reel pics will go up and any fish caught will be posted as well. What are some suggestions on the uses of the set-up. I was thinking 10" worms, jigs, and paddle tail swimbaits.
  21. Don't get me wrong...I'd rather catch the larger fish but in light of my past fishing year I'm happy catching fish period. Most of this year was spent in my creek after back surgery catching small bass, bluegill, and rock bass on crappie jigs. The few times I got to go out were less than productive but the small ones keep me going out. I have purchased some swimbaits and 7" senkos for the upcoming year in hopes of getting the big bites.
