3 tests...3 pieces of tackle
So I've got to take three tests to become credentialed as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. All three tests cost $200 each and I have challenged myself to pass them all on the first chance. The hospital I am working at reimburses for them when they are passed so with every test I pass, part of the money I get back is going for new fishing equipment. The first is a physics test with a 70% pass rate. I take it monday and plan on getting an Energy E750PT for crankbaits. The other two have a 50% or less passage rate so I plan on spending a little more for passing those.

NEW PFLUEGER PRESIDENT XT SPINING REEL SERIES!
Not too fond of that color but love my 6740... a little heavy but matched with my 7' MH extreme I can fish all day with it. Pflueger definitely gets my vote for spinning reels and it's all because of the president.

Round bc. vs. Low profile bc.
From personal experience I can say that a round reel is easier to cast and will cast farther than a LP. Again that's my opinion, my Pro Qualifier round reel will out cast any of my low profiles with far less backlashes

Hilarious combo
There's no question that zebco is probably the starting brand for most fisherman

Vicious Flourocarbon
Bought 700 yrds of 15lb and now have about 570 yrds of leader material...Didn't like memory, castability, or the stiffness...You can't even tie a secure knot with 20lb....But I'm beginning to think I'm just not a Flouro kinda guy....

Crankbait reel
Not gonna say that hasn't crossed my mind but I'm probably going with a 5.1 and new ones are only 6 and 7 :-/

Matt, your new hardbaits are in a class by themselves.
Unbelievable looking baits. Definitely would like to get some of these for next year...completely life like appearance....The soft baits look amazing too. And all that for a fair price...a good deal all around IMO...

Tru Tungsten

From that I gather that I wouldn't feel as secure with a fly rod- Who Plays Guitar?
Guitar and bass. I have a mexican Fender Standard Strat, a Fender AG20 acoustic, a Sunrise acoustic. I only have a small Peavey practice amp that I play through. I also have an LTD 505 5-string bass and a Fender Rumble 100 amp. I don't really play all that much any more. Used to play rock and such.- Crankbait reel
I' lookin to get a new crankin reel before the spring. Anyone have any suggestions for a decently priced reel. Right now I'm using an old Pro Qualifier round reel and love it. Thinking maybe a shimano cardiff or getting an energy from ebay for around $100 or so- Strike King Ocho
Are these made out of the same material as the zero or is it different- Follow up Bait
Wacky rigged stick worm. I've also had descent success with a Mann's Waker after others have missed on topwater. :- crankbait rods
The Crankin Sticks are well worth the money and are solid rods. They've got descent sensitivity for a crankbait rod...I actually used my 6'6''M for soft plastics when I first got it to test just that. Plus if you get it on sale that leaves room for extras. - Using the wrong smileys
