  1. Looks like we are going to try and put a grup together and give it a shot. I'll keep y'all posted.
  2. Couple times in the spring, couple times in the fall.
  3. Another preventable tragedy. Many of you may remember, we lost a father/son last yr in the exact same way. No pfd's 48 degree water, they assumed (being in a small pond) that they could make it to shore if they flipped. They didn't. DON'T ASSUME,.....WEAR IT!
  4. This is why there is a tank at most shops. Some use a 55 gal drum for smaller o/b's
  5. My deadliest "twitch" bait. I don't use it as a walking bait, strictly a twitch bait. I too, like Marty, have been all over the Jbug so much that other topwaters are playing second string lately but the image is up there in my top 10 for sure.
  6. Amen. I "donate" a lot of stuff every year. When it comes to plastics, Brent made a good point. My lake has probably risen a foot from all the plastic we've thrown in there. Moving to hardbaits a bit more this yr for this exact reason. I'm primarily a plastics guy so any other lake I'm in, that will be the game plan but my lake needs an environmental break! lol
  7. Well my story of "the one that got away" goes like this.... We met in a ski shop 19 yrs ago......I was young and dumb and didn't realize what a keeper I had......
  8. Short answer- no, but it can be discerned through an autopsy. As for judging by size during spawn, while certainly a good judge, don't be fooled. Fluke was working a 4-5 lb bedded fish at Fork last yr. ..........................................then the female came up to the bed : :o :
  9. WIII- Can't hurt right? I have lots more too, mostly nature, animals, etc Could you PM me a few pointers? Thank you
  10. it's only been 3 yrs but many of us have seen you go from the chubby little boy to a tall young man. We used to be the same height : :)
  11. Interlux paint. Brightside. Can be bought online from jamestown distributors. Read what you need and how to do it HERE Do not use bedliner on bottom.
  12. I could do better..... 2x4 Bizz?
  13. Nice. It's easy to get good pics nowadays with digital camera's. Without having to worry about film, you can take 50 shots of a single flower, sure enough, one of them will be special.
  14. Stay tough FDaddy, good luck
  15. Welcome Aboard FishFast!!
  16. OK, here ya go "whatever", A couple from the lake . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
  17. Here ya go,lol. Notice, when the sun gets a bit higher than it is in the vid, that's when the undersides of the high clouds light up like in pics 1 & 2 Sunrise
  18. ha,ha,...ok,...I'll go find the clip..... : Another (these are all taken from my apartment window)
  19. I'm lucky, I get this exact sunrise often. Colors are always the same. I was actually accused of manipulating the color so I went a made a vid clip, lol.
  20. Well,...DUH!!! You have to put up SIGNS dummy!!! ;D I prefer a breadcrumb topping on most of my fish (saltwater or trout) I like to salt and pepper the filet, roll around in bread crumbs with parsley and garlic powder in them and then fry in butter. (Italian dressing works too) Simple but yummy.
  21. Sunrise on the Atlantic,..Now THIS is a good way to start the day
  22. Salt water too,...nice :
  23. That's a tough one Aaron. My grandmother went through the same stuff and I was about your age. It's tough when you visit and they don't know who you are but..... Give her a hug, let her feel your love and her core will get the message. It's a crappy disease, you spend a whole life building memories and they get stolen right when you need them most. At least she is blessed with having a solid family around her. Your family is in my prayers.
