  1. RI has it's own "Chigger",....dead ringer. Like the real chigger, ours is no embarrassment. He's a state team regular. He owns one of the last mom n pop shops in the state too. Great guy
  2. C'mon guys,...alll these new neighbors and nobody wants to come play????
  3. Mike, many of us just leave it on and contact each other all the time. Some just once in awhile. The chats are tough because of the times. You can see who is on and who isn't so if someone notices that there are alot of guys, open a room and send invites. Spontaneous chats.
  4. Avid is right, a patent is only as strong as your pocket is to defend it. Call me, PM with number sent. It's 8:53, Redline and I will be in the car for the next few hrs, heading to Kelsey Bass ranch. You can pick both brains with one call.
  5. This is ridiculous. My parents have NO IDEA what AIM is as do many of our members,....OLD AND YOUNG. It is beyond me why you guys feel so threatended by this guys suggestion that the desire to attack him has surfaced. I have no idea where this is coming from but this is where it's going. THREAD LOCKED >
  6. Not sure if I understand the question but the organ effected by barometric pressure is the swim bladder. (The swim bladder contains gas (usually oxygen) and functions as a hydrostatic, or ballast, organ, enabling the fish to maintain its depth without floating upward or sinking. It also serves as a resonating chamber to produce sound)
  7. Bassfeed. Billy is always looking for new subjects so if there is something you think needs to be covered, drop him a note and it will get serious consideration.
  8. Fitting that you would use the term education... I don't get it. I have a college education. Can you explain please?
  9. Looks like you came up with a solution UB!! Awesome, nice show of support, I know muddy will put it to excellent use for some guy that really needs it. Thanks for being a great example. Same goes to all the guys who have helped Muddy with this endeavor, you guys make the world a little better place to be in.
  10. I'm a little confused myself, why is this kid getting torn up, because he wants to communicate MORE with members???? OK, granted, the obvious is just that, obvious. If folks who have an AIM screenname want to make it public, they would have through the use of their profile. But why tear the kid up for suggesting something positive,...just because it's obvious? Ifthe post read, I have a new site, to hear about it, use your AIM screenname to contact me. Granted, bye, bye. But that's not the case here. We are here to help lead and educate the youth, not tear them up when they make a suggestion that is nothing but friendly. What kind of message does that send??? OK, lay into me, that's fine, just leave the young dude alone. Please. Thanks.
  11. 1. Drill old rivet out. 2. insert a tapered head bolt into hole from the bottom. 3. Coat threads with 3m 5200 marine adhesive/sealant, don't be skimpy but no need to glob it on there. 4. Add washer and nut and tighten. 5. wipe away excess 5200 and trim down the bolt. Go Fishing. 2 hints 1. Be careful not to get the 5200 anywhere you don't want it, i.e. carpets, clothing etc (rubber gloves aren't a bad idea either, it's tacky stuff 2. Put boat on saw horses first and fill with a few inches of water. Look underneath to see which rivets are leaking. Circle with with yellow crayon or some sort of distinguishing mark Good luck
  12. Never mind, lol. Gidgets son was asking me what I was talking about, when I was showing him, I said "you would think you would just hold down the "stop" button but we did that a bunch of times already,.....but of course,.....it worked this time, lol. ok,...now,....anyone know where he keeps the fire extinguisher? Kidding Robert,..deep breath,...put the phone down ;D
  13. I am at Robert's and I can't figure out how to get the 2 small red led's to shut off on the dash of his rig (z22comanche). The one next to the fuel tank switch (1 or 2) and the one next to the "stop" button. Any help guys? Thank you.
  14. Flech, no bad blood here, not at all, just so ya know Families have disagreements but they are still families.
  15. I have been here 191 days or a little over 6 months and I average 8.96 posts a day. But I'am pretty sure I knew a rod from a reel : Sorry lol Now if you could only figure out what to do with them,........lol
  16. I didn't, you did. The point in there is that you will not agree with everything here. If you do, then you are naive. This place is far better than a magazine but a magazine doesn't let JUST ANYONE write their articles like it is with threads on a forum board. You know me better than to think I would LESSEN the standard of Glenn's house. You know Glenn better than to think he would let me. I personally don't see any noticeable difference in the info here. Waaaay too many guys here that really do know their stuff and they are quick to politely explain things properly. I always have, and still do, consider you to be one of those people. If there is a specific fact that you feel is misleading a member, PM him with your opinion on the topic or post it for all to learn from. Take rods for example. I can only comment on what I know. YOU are the guy that says forget brands,...you need a mh, 6'6",..blah bl;ah blah, and why. A WAAAAY better answer than mine would ever be. But If I know sports authority has spidershafts for $40, and they fit what he's looking for, I'll recommend them, because I've used them for yrs. I'm not attacking you but I just don't see the point to this unless it's just a rant which are usually labeled "rant" in the title. (oops-edit- just read 1st thread,..."sorry to rant",lol...my mistake, apology accepted?)
  17. PM SENT!! > ;D ;Dj/k ;D ;D It's not you, this is merely a stirring of the pot which, quite frankly, is becoming rather redundant, annoying, and pointless. If there is an issue with the advice someone is giving, either DON'T READ IT,....or ....offer YOUR opinion,....or,....just leave it alone and realize you are on the internet. I mean Honestly, there is a certain amount of "take what you hear with a grain of salt" to this forum board stuff, if that's so surprising, maybe you should stick to magazines.
  18. These are profiles, to let the newer members know who is answering their threads, etc. It's also a place to recognize and say "Thanks" ,if it applies, as many of the candidates are people who have been giving quality input just for the sake of helping. And, like RW said,....there's the free membership. ;D We upgrade all Elite winner's memberships to "lifetime" memberships.
  19. Yea, I read that in the city news newsletter. It figures,....the one area of the lake that produces the better fish. It said that after construction, the East side of it would be "segregated for irrigation"??? What's that about, what do they need to irrigate with THAT water??? I don't understand all that state agency talk,.....plain English would have been fine, lol.
  20. yap yap yap,...typical tourny angler. You guys spend more time throwing testosterone than you do than fishing,.... FISH FIRST-YAP SECOND : ;D
  21. Happy Birthday partner!!! and also to BD and,...MY DAD!!!
  22. Tin2win 8-) I'll save the rest of my words for AFTER the event. :
  23. Mike, just to keep it official, mark Eric (Dirk) and I down as a team
