  1. no live bait. That one I know for sure. When Mike gets back from the classic, I'll get a full set of rules.
  2. It's 9:55a, I'm waiting for Wildwood Outfitters to open so I can call and see if they carry the new Tierra. This will go on the rod Flechero built. Report to follow after Fork. I guess now I'm the mongrel. I own Penn, Pflueger, Daiwa,Shimano, Fin-nor, Zebco and Martin. Mongrel Mook
  3. This stuff is just really cool for me. I met these kids last september when they showed up to help the kids at my event. Then I was an "on-board" adult for their state finals and now they are in Alabama grinning ear to ear, getting ready to fish with the elite players of the game, representing their home towns, clubs and families. What can fishing do for you? What an experience for these guys.
  4. Nope. I broke free a few years back. 90% of my tackle is in the basement, 10% is on the boat and is replaced as it is used. I carry on the boat 1lb Ziplock of plastics small terminal tackle pack small jig box small lure box (maybe 10 lures)
  5. And for the $$, YOU WON'T GAIN VERY MUCH MORE SPEED, YOU'LL JUST PUSH MORE WATER. Your boat only wants to go about 5 mph before it needs a whole new power supply to put it on plane. Anywhere in between really isn't faster. If you get between 5-6 mph, you're flying.
  6. You have to fish in a B.A.S.S. youth club in your home state and win the state finals. 1 winner from each age group goes.
  7. Alex and David make it to registration regardless of travel delays. Alex gets paired up David gets paired up
  8. For those of you who aren't sure what this is, when we hit 5000 members, we built a "members video". Since then, we have built one every time we hit 1000 more members. These are the previous ones Members Video I Members Video II Members Video III
  9. oops, I'm slacking,lol. Send pics to lowbudgethookers@gmail.com
  10. Boudin. Is that like puddin'?
  11. Did I read this correctly? Are you saying you drive this with the choke open? most likely- Float stuck clogged jet gummed up (old gas turns to varnish, gets gummy first) All easily fixed with a break down, cleaning and reassemble. This is somthing you should learn how to do anyway. Basic upkeep on an ATV can save lots of time in the shop. Learn how to clean air box/filter also.
  12. SO far the closest one is the muddy/zel/brutus affair in Lehighton. I'm sure they could use a volunteer or If you are interest in hosting an event, PM me.
  13. This is the daughter of RI youth director, BR member, and close friend Mike Broggi, stratosdadri. He's doing somthing right! Hi, my name is Delainey Broggi, I am a member of the Rhode Island Junior Bassmasters and a sophomore at **** High School. ****High School recently implemented a new graduation requirement which requires students to complete a Capstone Project. The purpose of the Capstone Project is for the student to create an exhibition that draws on a personal academic focus of the student, explores a topic through in-depth research and represents the acquisition and use of knowledge in new ways. This project must involve an external audience and offer opportunities for reflection. I felt that combining my love of bass fishing and my passion for supporting children with special needs would make for an extremely rewarding project. Therefore I came up with the idea to organize an Open Bass Fishing Tournament to benefit the C.A.S.T for Kids of Rhode Island. For those of you who don't know, C.A.S.T for Kids is a non-profit organization that takes disabled and disadvantaged children out for a thrilling day of fishing. By holding the first C.A.S.T for Kids of Rhode Island Ice Out Benefit Tournament, I hope to raise enough money to be able to provide this organization with some of the funds needed to make their Summer 2007 event a huge success. This year C.A.S.T for Kids hopes to provide every participant with their very own life jacket, which is a crucial and important aspect of having a safe day out on the water Despite being only 15-years-old, as a youth Bass angler, I've had the opportunity to experience the true commitment that Bass anglers have to the sport of Bass fishing and their willingness to support youth programs. To be successful in this, I need your help. A full field of 40 boats would allow us to present C.A.S.T for Kids of Rhode Island a check in the amount of $840. The Ice Out Tournament is an open tournament, from 7am-3pm at Roger Williams Park on Sunday April 1, 2007. The cost is $35 per person, or $70 per Team. There will also be a $5 lunker pool. The format is 60% payback. With a full field, first place will receive $980; second will receive $650 and third will receive $330. Please mark your calendar and help support C.A.S.T for Kids of Rhode Island as well as my Capstone Project. Thank you and I hope to see you there! TOURNY LINK HERE
