  1. im polk county... bout an hour from the twin cities but just on the wisconsin side i fish deer lake and st. croix river
  2. well i just bought a pack of strike king zeros. they sink, but after a while, they started to float. it was weird. they seem all bubbly and stuff after fishing with them a while. they are a good bait tho
  3. whatever floats your boat
  4. well, my grandpa had a piece of driftwood mounted on the wall with tons of beat up lures that the fish just destroyed. it was the lure hall of fame. does anyone else here have there own lure hall of fame? i am thinking of making one but the whole concept is pretty neat i think

i have heard tons and tons of stuff about these senko things, and i am just wondering how to present it. they say just a little twitch in different threads, but like just barely or a couple inches? is there any trick to em at all?
  6. i saw that pic too....was a bit fishy. ill spend my $ on senkos instead thanks all
  7. http://www.ngcsports.com/?subid=2572&source=pjn they claim alot of stuff on this website about these baits.. but it sounds kinda fake to me. however they do look like they work some. idk much about these lures, does anyone on here?

well, i want to build a custom fishing rod and i think wood looks really great on a rod and i have a lathe, but i dont know exactly how to build one. lol
  10. my grandpa takes me trout fishing sometimes, actually im going this friday, and i use a hook and worms... i have a question also...do trout care for like those green and red hooks from gamatasu or some weird name like that? thanks good thread
  11. this thread is very neat! i have never thought bout castin in a pool.... i would be curious to see how my new yum dancin eel swims in a pool... it looks like it runs to one side, but it has sweet action. still havent caught a fish on it tho lol
  12. cj, well im in wisconsin so the bass arent like giant, but a 5 pounder would be a start cuz im just catching 2 pounders at the biggest and i see pics of you guys holding monsters and it drives me nuts lol
  13. thanks this helped a lot. because yes i am just a kid so a 50 dollar reel is like a mini steez to me lol but i was just curious because i see the guys on the outdoor channel who look like walking billboards for companies have really nice rods and they pretty much just yank the little 2 pound bass out of the water with there medium heavy action rod and whoop and hollar over the fish.....but ya sorry i am not one who likes tourney fishing like that....thanks all i love this forum lots of guys who know what there talkin bout
  14. none for wisconsin? crazy! well, i am a new kid to the forum and i am fishing of a friends dock so i caught a nice bass...not nearly as big as every one elses its probalby just 1 and a half pounds or so.... i caught it off deer lake in polk county wisconsin http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x106/gravygravy17/IMG_0646-1.jpg
  15. alright...how about garage sales? see i live just off the lake and not on the lake, and i can probably find someone who would let me keep a boat on there property, but there are several garage sales by the lake and that might also be a good spot i guess to find a old boat.
  16. where do you guys catch the monster bass? off docks, or in a boat, or just off shore? thanks
  17. well, first of all, i love to fish. i am not like an expert and all, but i see that the outdoors are becoming less popular with kids as i am one. all my friends dont fish and if i have like some sponsor shirts or something i think that is a good way for them to be introduced to fishing. and then i can show them how fun it is and then the fishing industry would make money. which is the whole point of sponsorship lol
  18. alrighty well if anyone has pics of a homemade rod there welcome here
  19. whoa there are a lot of boats on craigslist. thanks guys i love this forum
  20. i live right by the st. croix, and i have caught some smallies on a beetle spin lol. but that was a while back when i just wanted to catch fish, and jsut not bass
  21. that thing is a pig!
  22. well, i am just a kid, and most of my rods and reels are hand me downs and from walmart. i have just been crazy bout fishin lately so i ordered a cabelas catalog. there are reels like the daiwa steez that are 400 bucks! i thought i was payin alot when i got a abu garcia cardinal from walmart for 30 lol. is there that much of a performance difference between different costs?
  23. i am new to the forum and idk if there is an OFFICIAL thread like this but can yall please share pics of homemade rods? i am going to be starting my own soon
  24. i like to try several baits to find the best one so i change pretty frequently
