  1. x2, those are some funky looking fish, but it looks like a ton of fun for the soldiers
  2. i got some of these to fish in canada, they pretty much sink straight down to the bottom with minimal wobble... the weight in them is way too heavy imo
  3. i was super excited for the ice at first, cuz hey i get to try ice fishing for the first time of my life and catch bass. well as it turns out its really tough to catch bass through the ice, and its cold, and its not even close to being as active. i buy fishing lures not on sale at walmart during the winter because im so anxious to go fishing. and i bought a fly rod, im going to try fly fishing for bass. the good thing about the winter is that it gives me time to find new lakes, fishing sales, and thats about it.
  4. thank you all
  5. well i am 15 years old and just this year i became a fishing addict. a texas rigged plastic worm kills bass. use a 3/0 offset hook and use a long plastic worm, texas rig it, and fish it very slow. let it settle to the bottom, and give it a twich. let it sink again, and repeat. its hard to tell when a bass bites it by feeling it, so watch your line. this is one of the cheapest baits around, and is very affective when fished slow.
  6. so what your all saying is that as soon as i can grab the bass grab it quick and firm ? does it matter if im above or under that little tongue ? thank you
  7. well, there is a creek that is about 4 feet wide, 6 feet at the widest, and its really shallow... with some deep pools.. it would be very hard to fish panther martins and those for trout. what other baits will work? i searched for this and i read something about powerbait? does that work pretty well? any help would be appreciated. thanks
  8. well ive been watching quite a few fishing shows lately and it seemed that whenever jimmy houston or someone caught a bass they grabbed the bass by the lip the bass hardly flopped at all...whenever i grab a bass by the lip the bass are just constantly flipping around and its difficult to grab them until they tire...i was just wondering if there is any certain secret... and also another question is ive never caught a smallie but im going to a river soon and there are smallies in there..and is there mouth the same as a large mouth or similar? thanks
  9. thank you very much volman

  13. well, my grandpa is like 75 years old, and he used to fish off bridges and has caught many fish, and says that just a regular jig and twister tail grub catches bass...so i go out and try it off a dock and sure enough, i catch more bass and bigger ones than on a senko.... just jigging this thing. i was amazed... i still love the senkos but i am kind of digging this jigging because i can catch other things also... also i caught 2 dozen fish on a skitter pop i love top water fishing now too
