is there anywhere i can rent a boat at mattawoman creek? i cant get up at four to go because my dad has to drop my mom off somewhere and he is my ride so will i get crowded out around 10? are the snakeheads still biting?

for football jigs either slowly reel in along the bottom or drag them in open water near rocks. for flippin jigs flip and pitch them in heavy cover and lightly hop(warmer months) drag (winter) and/or shake them. for trailers try strike king 3x chunks or ragetail chunks the 3x ones last almost forever.

is this bait really worth 30.99 and is it a good bait?

with a bait caster what is a good rod length/action for casting jigs and what is a good gear ratio.

so the 7.3:1 zillion would be good.

what is a good gear ratio for flippin? and also what will the hyper speed zillion be used for, topwater?

i tried em today and found you must hold your rod tip down with a moderate retreive speed. i didn't get any because it turns out you can't fish these from the ledges where the fish were and i was standing but on level ground they look good. i also only had 30 minutes. they cast like a rock too.

will table salt help as an attractant along with oil of anise? what about coffee?

i purchased some strike king shadalicious in sexy shad and in the largest size that was available (5.5 in.) and some keel weighted 6/0 hooks and was wondering how these baits are at catching fish. also i put some anise on them and was wondering if table salt or bacon grease would help. do they use sodium chloride for attractant?

for me 9 or 10 pounds on a spinnerbait (possiblly more) but i had no scale and didn't want to kill the fish. that thing pulled me down into a ton of hydrilla too.

i get tons while fishing for largemouth though they never show up in the washington channel just the main river

I'm going on saturday morning for the first time. does it get much pressure and are there many snakeheads? would a bank fisherman be crowded out by other fisherman at about six am?

i use a 7 foot medium bps crankin stick. i use medium so i dont pull the bait from the fish.

I'm 14 and i use baitcasters with ease and do fine with adult rod models because i'm tall, though i do think companies could make some money with high end rods for children. imagen a four foot child with a 7 foot 6 heavy action flippin stick!

but i have noticed this lake has started to have a sharp drop in the bass population since i started fishing here when i never saw people keep fish. and also this is a tiny lake. and by nasty i mean i said the fish will all be dead and you could too from contaminents.

i also fish the potomac and have found you must fish the baits very slowly like this twitch 1 2 3 twitch and repeat then you pause at an open spot or weed edge for as long as you can handle. and remeber release the bass and have fun.

today while fishing i saw a guy keep a largemouth and told him he should release it he didn't i kept on looking at him and when he left i told him he wasn't a real fisherman. also he said he keeps all he catches so "politely" said some nasty stuff to him. can anyone help me spread the idea of catch and release to benefit our fisheries, and remember any little thing helps.

the snakehead had left before we cast a soinnerbait to kim and even after he went back deeo he didnt strike. and thanks for the gar help.

today while fishing the potomac i saw tons of gar porpousing and they would take nothing. how can i catch them. i also saw a snakehead about 3 feet long come up to gulp air. at first i thought it was a carp but it was black slender and had a weird triangularish head and round fins.

usually the people keep all the fish they catch and have no license displayed which is needed in dc. I force them to throw the fish back by saying what they are doing is stupid and tell them it is illegal even if it sometimes isn't.

can anyone help me do this. some people in the potomac river area love to keep bass and ussually i force them to throw the fish back but it gets to be a lot to do when you are only fishing for four hours and a half (5:30-10:00). can anyone help me with talking to the states to preserve the great fishery of the potomac. feel free to discuss if you would like to do this for your state and i will try to help.

alright if i get one i'll kill it (rip gills) though it just goes against what i do.

does it have many snakeheads and is it good for largemouth from shore? i think I might go there this weekend. and do i have to keep the snakeheads i catch?
