I'm a huge fan of sunline sniper floro for treble hook baits. 12lb for jerkbaits and mid diving cranks and 16lb for squarebills and deep cranks. I don't understand why someone would throw a squarebill on anything less than 12lb. When I'm throwing a squarebill. It's gonna be around laud owns, trees, grass, ect.

I recently caught a Berkeley lightning rod with a Abu Garcia c4 reel on it. Works good and not in bad shape at all. I've been meaning to give it to a kid or something.

I own a dobyns 805 and 806. The 805 works decent with a 10xd but the 806 was built for it. Get the 806 and never look back! I throw the heck out of the 10xd, it's one of my favorite baits!

My boat is at Toledo fiberglass getting a gorilla hull. Sure wish I could have went this weekend. I know hey were chompin!

Get some Yum Pumpkin Heads in 3/8oz and put a magnum trick worm on it...it works! I probably caught 10 or 12 fish over 5lbs with it on my 723 on Toledo Bend!

I like my 723 for oversized shaky heads with magnum trick worms. It's a bit light for jigs to me, but perfect for big shaky heads, senkos, flukes, ect.

I'm pretty sure he meant the road trip. It's gonna be in march on Toledo bend this year. And by the way, that 10xd is awesome! I've caught numerous fish over 7 this year on it. It catches pigs!! Congrats!

Alright, I finally got to look over my calendar. Hoping to be there the 19-21st! I'll for sure have an open seat on the 19th, possibly the other two days too.

Of you stay in Housen that time of e year you will be targeting more press pawn fish than anything. Mid march the spawn is normally around the bridge area, the south end spawns late march and early April. I'll be there a few of the days hopefully!! I may have an open seat a day or two too.

I've used a lot of monos and suffix siege is my favorite. BUT, I pretty much throw sunline sniper on all my cranking rods now. The baits run a little deeper and I can feel every vibration with floro. I like the 16lb sniper for most applications. I can hit bottom in 25 ft of water with a 10xd on 16lb sniper.

Dobyns 805cb works well and is a very versitale rod, but the 806cb is perfect

The fish are still in more of a fall pattern than winter. I would look in the back of creeks and work my way out.

Finally got on Rayburn for the first time. Caught 30 fish, best five 22lbs today. Only caught 2 good ones, a 7lber and a 8lber. Fish were on piles in 15 ft.

Sounds tough! Fishing should just keep getting better though.

I like a composite rod as long as it has enough tip to move the jerkbait with small rod movements. I have a Powell Jerkbait rod and its a composite. Ive used many rods until I found the composite and Im not going back.

I spend $1k just about every Black Friday at TW lol
