Question reference my status.
Just hi-jack all threads telling everyone about how Senkos catch fish and about a $50 rod and reel you would like to trade for a NRX w/Steez...that should get your post count up.

Knot/Line
I am just wondring what the concensus is between line type and knot. Here is what I do...correct me if Im wrong. Braid - Polamar Floro - Trilene knot Mon - Trilene knot Braid to Floro - Uni I have heard the Trilene knot will slip with braid and the Polamar will damage Floro causing it to break. When I first started using Floro it kept breaking and I guess it was the Polamar knot.

what lenght rod for lip-less cranks and rattletraps,
I'm gonna have to agree...you need a faster reel and I like a 7ft rod for lipless baits. Its enough to pick up line to set the hook, but not too much to outcast your hook setting distance. Also, I recommend braid on lipless bait, so i like my rod to give. Powell makes a Spook/Trap rod...may be something to look into.

Crankbait Setup?
I have a 7 M/M Carbonlite and love it, but I also like the Skeet Reese crankbait rod and I am getting a Powell glass crank rodl.

First tournament: what setups?
For a higher end Jig rod I would definetly get a 7' H/F Powell Max rod. I love mine and you can get in for less than $150. For a cheaper rod, I would look at the Vendetta series.

2010 NFL predictions
Im from Louisiana and I admittedly am a bandwagon Saints fan. The Saints just sucked too long for me to be a true fan. Im a Packers fan at heart, and I love our chances this year. What it's going to take...
I think I was misunderstood. I am not arguing the fact that people, or kids, look to sponsors for free stuff without putting in the work first, but I am saying that what good would working for a sponsor be if you got nothing in return. I am not sponsored, I am not looking for sponsors, and I will probably never be sponsored. I go out and prefish and then fish tournaments and sponsorships never cross my mind, but if I were to come by a sponsor, I would only take it if it were going to help me out. Why would I take on more of a workload and not even get entry fees paid or a discount on some products. Makes no sense. Now lets put all that behind us...when are we going dove hunting?? ;D

Got the fried pickles READY!!!
I've said it before and I'll say it again...FIRE GARY CROWTON!!!! I like Les, but Crowton is terrible. Jefferson was effecient, besides the intentional grounding and the pick, which meant nothing, and the d-line looked pretty stout, but Crowton's playcalling and our secondary sucked!! Also, was it just me or did Nevis DOMINATE even more than Glen Dorsey used to do?

What it's going to take...
I understand exactly what you are trying to say, but I also understand what ETOMMY was trying to say. What use is a sponsorship to me if it doesn't pay me money or products. Why would I work for a sponsor with no reward? The reason fishermen get sponsors is to get money. Now, on the other hand, I dont think that a fisherman should focus solely on getting his sponsor. I agree that over years of experience and schooling sponsorships will come much easier as you succeed in the fishing industry. But, even then, the sponsor is there for money purposes.

"Horror" stories regarding fishing partners
Well, I live in the GHETTO of my city and my neighbors are always asking me to bring them fishing. One day I got up the patients and courage to bring a few of em and man, what a mistake. Took tow 14 year old kids and their 29 year old step dad. It was their first time ever in a boat, so when I hit about 50mph they were about crying. When I got to 65 one of the kids actually told me stop and he had peed himself. Im now thinkin, what the heck did I get myself into. Well, we are brim fishing, because i thought that they might could catch a brim. I caught like 20 that were perfect size for trot lines, and they wanted to keep every one of em. One kid hit the step dad in the back of the head three times and on the last time he broke his line in the dads dreads! I was laughing so hard and crying all at the same time. The dad threw the kid in the river and told him to swim back. Well, I helped him back in and we headed home with about 20 gold-fish sized brim. I rode home a soaking wet kid in my truck and when we got home, they didn't know how to clean a fish, so I had to clean these shiners for em. Looking back at it now I laugh, but at the time, I was ready to sell my boat!! ;D

Year Old boats
I guess your Skeeter w/SHO never worked out huh? That sucks. I personally have owned a Triton and have riden in most of the rest. I like the Triton, BUT there are some pros and cons: Pros: one of the fastest hulls my favorite looking boat can be bought with a Yammy or Merc Cons: walks like nobody's business rod boxes are deep and skinny, meaning rods are on top of each other instead of side by side metal T-post handles for compartments, they hurt to step on All in all, Triton is a good boat, but I wouldn't buy again. I would probably buy a Skeeter because they ride super smooth, have a ton of storage, and a HUGE front deck.

Swamp People
Somehow my dad got us tags to kill them because we have so many and we were trying to get rid of them before hunting season. Actually, if I remember correctly we got the tags in June to get rid of a few.

Swamp People
It is a great show, but doing what they are doing really isn't dangerous. We caught two alligators last week in one of our duck hunting holes and they were 8ft a peice. It's actually really fun. We caught frogs with our hands, put a hook through their back leg, tied it to 65lb braid on a rod and reel and threw it in front of the gators. They are really aggresive, so its not hard to get them to bite and we reel em in and shot em with a .22 magnum. Got like 20 gallon freezer bags full of meat now!! :D Oh yeah, just in case ya'll were wondering, yes we did have tags.

Cut backs @ LSU!
Now that's what I call intimidation!! ;D

Carolina Rig Question(s)
Its not the ideal set-up, but it will catch fish. I would opt for a faster retrieving reel to pick up line, but not that important. I would also use braid and floro leader, but once again, not vital. What you have will work.
