  1. I am fishing a lake that has a lot of weeds you can see them almost to the surface in almost ten feet of water. The fish are in post spawn are still pretty shallow but we usually throw jigs and they are just not going through the weeds. They are tough to fish and the only luck we have had is on rocky shorelines but there is only a few small ones. We have a tournament coming up and we need to figure out how to fish areas with the weeds so any suggestions would be great.

  4. Yeah we did catch them in the hennepin. We have a spot that is just loaded with common carp.

  6. Newton lake has a 25 hp limit. Ive never fished any other power plant lakes in the winter but newton is probably worth the trip.
  7. ok clinton is kinda far but i know it is a pretty good lake so we might give that a try
  8. i found a lot fish on the depth finder but couldnt get any to bite and saw some feeding we tried the spoons and deep cranks, jigs. i think were just going to a different lake next time cause lake bloomingtons hopeless

  11. the first few times we did pretty well in the shallows but the last few times thats mostly what we fished and we hardly caught anything we still saw a lot of baitfish we just couldnt get the fish to bite but maybe they moved out deeper for some reason.
  12. Ive been fishin a lake called lake bloomington and it is about 700 acres. It has a lot of shad and we have been following the shad and doing pretty well with largemouth but the last few times we have been going through the shad with the same baits which are lipless cranks and spinners. We have only caught one largemouth in the last 2 trips. We tried some wacky worms also with only a few bites but no takers any suggestions?
  13. 1. catch an 8 lb bass ive caught a few 6 to 7 lbers 2. Me and my friend are starting tournaments next year so i want to place pretty well and hopefully learn a lot more about bass fishing
  14. i went back and got one more bass on a mepps then fished another hour without a bite but thanks guys ill give some of the stuff a try
  15. me and my friend found this pond that has nice bass in it but it is tough to fish we tried wacky worms and crankbaits but the problem is the water is really murky and its also a really shallow pond. my friend finally caught a 2 bass on a mepps spinner one was 19.5 inches but next time they wouldnt hit mepps spinners or the spinnerbaits we tried white with gold and silver blades >. if anybody has ideas it would be appreciated
  16. Looks good i would defintely try a bass jig you can catch some real nice bass out of evergreen with them and i havent been there since june but the few rocky parts in the lake were the best so i would give those a try
  17. if u have a boat u should try newton lake its the best bass lake ive ever fished its probably an hour and a half south of you

  19. if its shallower i would try a senko or if the water is kinda fast moving i would try a spinnerbait i was wading a creek that runs out of a spillway yesterday and i got a nice smallmouth and a nice walleye on a white spinnerbait
  20. i havent pulled many pranks but my dad knew an old blind guy that would fish at night for catfish and he had the bell at the end of his pole and my dad would run under and grab his line and he would set the hook and start cussing because he couldnt hook anything
  21. i go on a trip to minnesota near the boundary waters every year and ive had the best luck with a jighead with a four inch senko its dynamite for smallies
  22. you should try throwing a buzzbait really early in the morning through weeds
  23. if it was a bigger fish probably a carp
  24. i fish mostly ponds and small lakes because my dad is to lazy to take the boat out > but ive caught all my biggest bass out of ponds
