I'm currently fishing from a 15' center console, all fiberglass boat. It has a bow mounted TM (saltwtater series) and a pole seat up front. It doesn't draw much water and it makes a decent "bass boat". Plus, it's great for bringing out in the salt water to fish for those other bass
I'm always looking at boats because my 6 year old son and I plan to do a lot of fishing and I'm not sure what type of fishing we'll end up leaning toward as our favorite. In a year or 2 I'd like a bigger boat and as of right now I can see that being a 22 foot center console. But... who knows if that's what we'll want when the time comes? So, I want to educate myself on boats.
I'd like to know what makes a bass boat? Is it just that it can easily get into the shallows? I've been looking at aluminum boats and there are some nice deep v designs that have pole seats and bow mounted TM's, lots of storage and live wells. These seem like they would make great bass fishing boats and aslo be very versatile for other types of fishing as well.
I'd like to hear facts, opinions, whatever!
Thanks
Jay
