Try this instead: http://www.bassresource.com/fish_biology/algae_control.html or this http://www.bassresource.com/fish_biology/algae_plant.html or this http://www.bassresource.com/fish_biology/algae_copper.html Oh, and hey, here's more info on Algea: http://www.bassresource.com/fish_biology/algae.html And here's some general info on "runaway" aquatic plants this time of year: http://www.bassresource.com/fish_biology/aquatic-vegetation.html Is the word "Resource" in our name? :
  2. Beyond a doubt, it's a largemouth. Besides the jawline, the lateral line is clearly visible, plus the tail is "streamlined" and lighter in color (smallmouth tails are "boxy" and very dark).
  3. Did you notice the dead fish due to Rejuvinade? You can't kill fish from using "too much", unless it's toxic stuff to use on your fish in the first place. Period. I've accidentally used "too much" Catch & Release, which merely got all my fish stoned. I opened the livewell, and they were like, "Heeyyy duuude" LOL!
  4. He's talking about the newsletter. Click on the link in my signature.
  5. x2 Sorry for your loss.
  6. It's possible. Sometimes there's weird anomolies and data errros that can cause this. Running maintenance functions usually fixes these errors, but sometimes it takes a few times for it work the kinks out.
  7. FAQs
  8. Thanks. I'll look into it.
  9. Last year in my neck of the woods, a bass boat hit a barge wake going full throttle (it was a tournament blast off), went airborne and knifed it. It cart-wheeled, separating the top cap from the hull. The drive had multiple broken vertebrae and fractures. The passenger suffered cuts and bruises. Both could have been killed.
  10. Banned. Good bye.
  11. Howdy, Sorry for the uproar over your screen name, but you'll need to change it per our policy: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1172273207 As you can see by this thread, there's a distinct reason behind this policy. I have changed it to a temporary name for you. Thanks! Glenn
  12. I love fishing new waters. I check maps to be sure I know what areas to be cautious of (stump fields, shallow flats, anything "dangerous" to run through), and then simply focus on points. I fish shallow to deep to find where the fish are active, and then focus on that depth/structure.

This. Does the guy/gal have a history of putting their foot in their mouth, etc.... I've crossed the line before (couple times) and never had a problem with a post getting deleted. If that happens I know I need to throttle back some or just STFU. Well, ya, we do take that into consideration. Some folks have a history of stirring the pot on purpose, others mean well, but it comes out the wrong way when they write it. Still others have a history of joking around, and sometimes their jokes come across differently to a new person. Conversely, we also look at who is doing the complaining. Most of the time, the complaints have merit, but sometimes there's a history between the poster and the complainant, so one guy is just trying to get the other in trouble. Rather petty to be sure, but it does happen occasionally. In addition, some folks are easily offended, and hit the notify button often. Sometimes they're spot-on, but often we have to talk them down. We take these factors and more into consideration. I can't see we're perfect, but we try to be fair all the time.
  14. Yes, they can survive, but - at a minimum - you have to get them back into the water asap. If you have a livewell, put them in there. Then break out the "Please Release Me" and put it in the livewell. He should be fine in about 10 mins. When you let him go, he might act a little sluggish. That's the sedative in the product. He'll come around in a few mins. That said, if you rip or tear their gills, then the likelyhood of them surviving diminishes.
  15. Here is our video gallery: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/ Enjoy!
  16. This is better handled via PM. G'night.
  17. Dems are pricey rods! Sorry man, I'm out. $300 is about my limit on rods. If y'all like spending that kind of dough on rods, then knock yourself out. I *** you. I really like G-Loomis rods, but that's just outta my budget range.
  18. Hmmm....I see.
  19. Life isn't about getting to the destination, it's about enjoying the ride. And every good Disney ride has it's scary moments. Enjoy!

I think this thread has made it clear that if you make a fun jab at somebody, make a sarcastic comment, or make innuendos, then either it's going to go over their heads, or somebody is going to misinterpret it. This is why it makes it so difficult for the mods and I to make rulings on "offensive" remarks. We must look at the context, poster's history, and verbiage amongst other things to make a determination. And at the end of the day, somebody's going to disagree with the ruling - every time. There's just no way everybody is going to be happy in those circumstances. So we're used to it. That said, if you're going to make snarky comments, then know that it's probably going to sideways on you regardless of intent.
  21. Oh, I almost forgot! Rate plans - especially data plans - vary greatly from carrier to carrier. Some offer pretty decent no-contract plans, so it really pays to shop around.
  22. Gotta correct you on the Swype feature. It's been available on other Android devices already, and is standard on the Galaxy Vibrant. Not as beta, but full blown. Folks, if you're new to the Android craze, then you need to know that Android phones have been on the market for about 2 years now. The Droid is a relative newcomer. You have choices. Each phone has it pluses and minuses. Price, form factor, processing power, display size & quality should be compared. If you take videos/pictures, then be sure to compare those as well. If you want the latest and greatest, then check out today's article from CNN on the Android devices launched today: http://tech.fortune.cnn.com/2010/07/15/droid-x-and-t-mobile-vibrant-launch-today/ But again, all the carriers have Android phones now. Do your homework and compare.

This is a good conversation. I might even "sticky" it.
  24. I'm using the original myTouch, which is about a year old. I have to clarify - the resetting of preferences is about the apps. When you reset the device, you lose the apps you've downloaded. So you have to reinstall and re-personalize them. But you do keep your contacts, address book, etc. via the Google account. Yes, I can get corporate email just fine. But setting up the calendar requires a bit more work, which was what I was alluding to. Again, that's an Android thing, not a device thing. I'm thinking of upgrading to a Galaxy-S when it comes out: http://www.slashgear.com/samsung-galaxy-s-review-2891746/ It, too, will get the Froyo 2.2 update later this year, according to that article. I'm not sure if it will be compatible with HSPA+, but the thing would be blazingly fast if it were! That said, I'm also considering the HTC HD2, but that's not an Android device, so there's no app-land for it. :-/
