  1. I manually adjust mine as the day progresses. Here's a good starting point: Disable "Auto depth range" Disable "Auto Sensitivity" Set the ASP to "Low" Set the "Surface Clarity" to "low" Select the sensitivity option and adjust this down to between 50 and 80 (may need to adjust throughout the day) Select the "Depth Range" option, and choose a depth slightly lower than your current depth. You'll probably need to adjust as the day goes on. Finally, exit out of the menus and choose "Pages" and set it to the split screen mode. That's it!!
  2. Actually, before you start bending the eye, check to see that the hook hangers line up straight. Often times that's the culprit, and bending the eye merely compensates for it (while weakening the eye!).
  3. Boy oh boy, we've been preaching this one for years. There's a ton of misconceptions and misinformation out there on the Web. Plus, there's a lot of misunderstandings and confusion on how selective harvest works. We've partnered up with the best in the industry on lake and pond management - Pond Boss. The largest issue for fishermen by far is the proper use of selective harvest. Consequently, we have a ton of articles on the subject. Start here: http://bassresource.com/fish_biology/about.html#fish and take in the information. It's really opened my eyes through the years, and given me a new respect for fishery biologists. Enjoy! 9. Well guys, this is turning into a "who's right" / "who's wrong" debate. As we can see, everyone here has an opinion on this topic. And that's just what it is, opinions. Whether 1 person or a 1,000 people agree with you is besides the point. It's you're opinion. Let's not try to prove who's "right" or who's "wrong". Let's listen to, and respect, everyone's opinions here, because that's just what they are - opinions. Thanks!

  13. It's great that you're looking at the livewells. My old aluminum had a small livewell, and I had problems keeping fish alive. But I believe that was also due in part to the aeration system (it just sprayed water from a nozzle located at the top. I think a 20+ gallon livewell should be ok, provided the aeration system actually mixes the water around, instead of just spaying water on top. In addition, there are other things you should consider when purchasing a boat. Here's some articles to help you out: https://bassresource.com/fishing/a_new_boat.html https://bassresource.com/fishing/buying_first_boat.html https://bassresource.com/fishing/boat_buying_license.html https://bassresource.com/fishing/buying_a_boat.html Hope that helps!
  14. That's fine. I suggest adding a link to the new thread (so it's easy to find) in your post.
  15. Same goes for Lowrance. You can download any Navionics map to your unit (they have both navigation and topo maps available).
  16. This forum is for grass roots, local bass clubs and non-profit organizations only! Tournament circuits and organizations that are not non-profit local bass clubs are not permitted to post here. In addition, club opens are also not permitted. Such posts are deleted. Do not IM me asking why your post was removed. You will be referred to this message. Why this policy? The name of the forum says it all - "Bass Clubs", not "Tournament Circuits". Thanks for understanding!
  17. True - you only see a "new" icon when OTHERS post. When you post, you'll be taken directly to your "new" post after submitting.

  24. For those of you wondering what a butt seat is, here's a butt seat in the foreground: Notice I have one in the back as well (although I do have the chair too, just in case the backseater prefers that instead). You can purchase them at Cabela's, Bass Pro Shops, or, if you want a perfect match like I did, through your boat dealership.
  25. Thanks for the responses. So much for IM. LOL It's a fairly heavy sweatshirt - not as much as you'd get with 100% cotton, but still pretty warm and thick. As for the fit, it's roomy. The elastic on the bottom keeps it from riding up on you, but it doesn't feel tight. Per your request, here's another shot. My, what a glam model I am!
