  1. Thanks, I most likely pull the trigger on it. For the sales, oddly for some reason the multi-coupons aren't working on the reel alone and other Purelure products work fine.
  2. I was planning to get the PureLure Zana Max during this week's AliExpress anniversary sale. How does it compare in size and palming comfort to those reels?
  3. I've purchased 7 reels/rods in total since the tariffs last year and had zero extra charges. I've had a 1P rod shipped via UPS, but most come through their regular channels and your last mile courier. I'm sure the price increase on most items. The biggest difference is that a lot of items aren't being sold to USA buyers anymore. It's harder to find user to sell the new knock-off DC reels or stack discounts on Bates AKA Loongze or CDM Shimano/Daiwa reels.
  4. It works fine, I don't max it out to set hooks for worms on medium powered rod. Though I do use braid most of time.
  5. I think it depends on your rod, heard folks can cast 1g-15g no issues. I used it with a ML or M casting rod up 20g with no issues. Last year, I used it with Kingdom Wormblade M rod, it's ultra lightweight but it was faster than I thought. I've bent out stock Berkley Stunna hooks on it. I don't traditionally use these deeper spool BFS reels for throwing ultralight. I find them more for Bass BFS or "Power BFS," used to replace ML or M bass some spinning setups for more line control and casting efficiently.
  6. It's so light I may have gotten it mixed up. The description does say it's aluminum frame but carbon side plates. I don't have the shallow version, Alphas 800s, but the regular SV TW is an amazing little reel. I could use it for everything, but right now it's just a pitch and skip reel for me. The Alphas platform (Alphas, Tatula 70,80, loads of BF variants) is a very compact and solid feel reel and one of my favorites.
  7. I'm surprised your Purelure Zana feels loose. It's the perfect reel for ML-M reel, I've had zero issues with it. Though all magnesium reels do have a hollow feel and you might be happier with a full aluminum frame. I also have the first variant of the Purelure/DMK Silver Feather MIECC (DC) reel, close to Cheetah metal and use it for ML-M, it's a pretty great reel as well, though I think the Zana is more refined and better reel. If you want to go the big two route and think the Tatula 80 has too deep of spool. You could get Alphas Shallow Spool version. It has a full aluminum frame with aluminum gear side plate as well.
  8. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DN27b00Zmmz/?igsh=MXFqMTJ5M2trdmRqaQ== Good new video show casing the difference on weight separation from Keitech themselves. This is only a 1 Meter tank.
  9. Best video I can find but it's Japanese. They're using the Duo Realis tank to test things which is deeper than most videos I've seen. Biggest take aways, Free Rig falls more 90 degree, and unpegged Texas falls at an angle. There's some instance the weight separation is the same as the unpegged Texas, but I think they popped the rod a bit? 3rd and 4th drops, the Free Rig has further separation. Free Rig starts around 0:56 mark. Pegged Texas Bull Flat looks sick.
  10. Same had old 705CB weighed in 4.7oz vs what they stated 3.3oz. False Advertising for sure!
  11. How you get in on this secret promo?
  12. Pretty decent so far, all the above rods weight 3.5oz and balance fairly well with a magnesium reel or low 6oz reels. All the rods either come with Toray T1100G, or some blend of it and mix with Toray M40X. Which tends to be on higher end JDM rods. There was no Toray label or tag, but just how lightweight these rods are I believe it has the raw carbon. Only need to get use to that the rods are 2 pieces, but I've had zero issues so far. When I first bought one, my mindset was a bank beater/slap in my truck rod, but I'm finding I'm putting the rods in my rod locker more.
  13. Don't try out their rods or you'll end up with 4 extra rods.
  14. I prefer MH spinning for ripping weeds on Neko rigs or Jig Worm/Ned rigs. With spinning, I'm holding the rod directly, where bait caster gets fatiguing palming the reel and holding the rod.
  15. Dobyns x Phenix collaboration rod? Finally, a lighter and more balance, but x2 over rating in rod power.
