  1. Has anyone found an aerosal clear coat for coating their baits, one that doesn't have to be rotated on a wheel?
  2. Same baits, if it's not pouring down, then they are usually more active and aggresive.
  3. The price isn't too bad, just give them a try. I bought a couple to paint, but haven't had a chance to try them.
  4. x2 on the ol monsters, still have to try the anacondas
  5. Flamin Hot Funjuns :'(, chasing them down with a diet root beer.
  6. Hey Larry, I have seen your work on other sites and have to say you have some of the best. Welcome to bassresource.
  7. Here is my second Threadfin Shad attempt. I am very pleased with the way it turned out. It's painted on a Lucky Craft RC knockoff. I think it might turn out to be bass candy. ;D
  8. You do have some of the best work on here. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your creations.
  9. Thanks. It was to cover up a mistake, but it really makes the eyes stand out.
  10. Thanks for the feedback guys. I don't know much about alewife, but I read they resemble young herring. Living in the south, I want to make the threadfin shad pattern as realistic as possible. I have only painted these magic swimmers, but this weekend I am going to try to paint some blank crankbaits that I ordered. I'll post them up once I finish.
  11. Hey guys, here are my first couple of repaints. The colors are blue back herring and threadfin shad. Both were done on sebile magic swimmers. I painted both with createx and autoair paints.
  12. Bass Pro just came out with their version called "XXX". Just like chatterbaits and shakey heads, the talk won't die down until something else new knocks the bass fishing industry of its feet. Just give it time.
  13. Well, with the rocks there, all I have to say is throw a shakey head jig with a zoom finesse worm. I have caught plenty of bass off of rocks along the bank using a shakey head.
  14. It says he was on yesterday, but hasn't posted since Feb. 10th.
  15. Another great job! I'm new to painting baits, if you don't mind me asking, what clear coat did you use on those?
  16. You can't beat Taco Bell, I know theres no telling how it's made, but I try not to think about that. I eat there every Friday afternoon, except today, placed an order at a local neighborhood joint, called Dominos.
  17. Would that be the LSU tigers, Auburn tigers, or the Memphis tigers? because we play all three...and yes we did beat all three =) As much as I hate the rebels, I have to give them credit for the way they played last season. They are doing good.
  18. x2 on them spawning in the freshest water. I guess that's why the majority of the spawning takes place further upstream in the rivers away from the mouth.
  19. It has happened to me too :-/
  20. I am still waiting for my first bass on a zoom fluke. I might try it this weekend in a local pond since the weather has warmed up. 8-)
  21. I don't think so, all I have are brackish rivers around here and they spawn at the same time of the year as the lakes. But it's a little tough to find where they are spawning because the tides affect them in the rivers. You have a better chance of finding them during the highest tide. Good Luck!
  22. I'll take a shot at this one...because you've never caught one on a rat-l-trap ;D
  23. I can't figure it out because there are 4 different dive depths and their all 3" long. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_58706____SearchResults?ordProd=Y&CMID=BOTTOM_selectitems#itemDetail
  24. I was given this bait by a friend, but without the box. Neither of us can figure out the diving depth. The length of the bill is a little over an inch. Does anyone know how far it dives? Thanks for any help.
  25. Great job, the scale pattern on that last bait is nice!
