Windy choppy waters? Top water lures?
When fishing in a small lake and the conditions are slighly windy with a little chop on the waters, is it better to go deep with a brush hog or create some splash with a walk-the-dog type lure?

Dinks are schoolin
Hey Avid, I went fishing a few days ago up in Edgewater, FL and didnt have to much luck. I went out for about an hour and only caught three small bass under 1 lb. But that was after the hurricane had just passed and the cold front hit. I assume now with things warming up and the rain now coming, things will pick up again and that is why you had such a great day yesterday. Where are you located?

You're Not Catching Any Bass?
Roadwarrior, great topic to post in this heat of the summer. Down here in South Florida it seems the fish are hitting the best right before sunrise and about an hour after. In that time frame from 6:15-till around 8:30, I can usually go 4-6 nice bass... I have been mainly using the Zoom Baby Brush hogs, and I have tried the Zara Spook Puppy also but just didnt seem to have the luck or I didnt use it long enough...In the 2 hour time frame, I would hate to waste 20 mins casting that spook and no hits. Any suggestions? Conditions are warm calm water, no to slight breeze, no cover...

favorite techniques for suspended bass
The fluke has definitely been a good lure for me also...but with suspended fish, I have also had a lot of luck using the Zoom Brushhog...wheter it be when it is falling to the bottem or slowly reeling it in, I get hits.... I havent experienced using topwaters, spinners or rat-l-traps that much. good luck...

rapala pro fishing game
I have only heard negative things about the Rapala fishing game vs Pro Fishing Challenge on the XBOX. Pro Fishing Challenge on the XBOX is the most realistic fishing game I have ever seen out. Also the ability to play XBOX live is really the kicker. On www.xbgl.com they hold fishing tournaments that really make the game worth it.

Melting plastic lures to reuse...

Melting plastic lures to reuse...
I have heard from some anglers that once they have a plactic worm/hedge hog/fluke start ripping they just toss that in the tackle box and later on melt them down so that they can be reused again. One way to make a lure last... But what is the best way to do this?
