so i was looking into rod building and i wanna build my first rod. i wanna build a cheap rod that im probably never gonna use, just to see if i wanna get into the art of rod building. im probably gonna go with the mudhole value kit and the rod building accesory kit,is that all i need to purchase? do i really need a rod wrapper for making my first rod? i was wondering if you build your own rod will it be cheaper than buying a similar one from the store?(don't get the satisfaction of building your own) and what can you salvage from broken rods?(grips, seat, guides, etc.) sorry for all the questions :-[ im new to all this, there will probably be more ?'s so bare with me ;D and thanks for all the help!

instead of an aquirum what about those 100 gallon plastic ponds with the fountains in the middle? me and a friend caught about a 10" lmb and kept it in his little pond(like those plastic 100 gallon tanks) in his front yard. we also had two bluegill and alot of minnows that we netted. we also bought shiners to feed it but it wouldnt eat, the blue gill, shiners, or minnows. we fed it those fish pellets for gold fish and it would only eat those.

i just ordered a 6'6 m carrot stix, i too was stuck between the carrot and the crucial. i wanted to try something new so i went with the carrot stix. i was reading reviews/ articles about the carrot stix and everyone said that their a little more stiffer than they are rated for. the only thing im scared of is that this is the first rod ive ordered without actually testing one out in person :-/ ill let you know once i get it
