  1. i caught my biggest fish on 30# braid and my revo almost locked on drag
  2. suffix, limper and knots hold better out of the box
  3. lol BOGA GRIP
  4. yea i started fishing barbless too, i havnt lost a fish yet. i think its soo much easier un-hooking fish. i also think its more fun trying to keep more pressure on the fish
  5. Any reason why you like the Suffix better? Later, power pro was the only braid i used before i started using suffix. out of the box power pro was real stiff to me, when i spooled it on my reels this chalky stuff came off the line, and when using the lighter test line the knots slipped unless i wrapped the uni knot 3 times more. out of the box suffix came more limp with that broken in feeling and the knots dont slip ;D
  6. made the switch from power pro to suffix braid recently, best switch i've made
  7. not to mention the heat too
  8. i get up at 4:45, usually the first one at the ramp. about 15-20 min ride to ramp then 30min run to the secret spot ;D still have about half hour before sun starts to rise
  9. yea i keep dolphin all the time but idk why i feel so bad about this one
  10. today a friend and i were coming in after a long hot day of fishing and he was bragging about how he caught the biggest fish(3lb peacock). So i casted(that a word?) and hooked up to a 5 pounder. i started reelling it in and i notice that the fish wasnt trying to fight or anything and i see it twirling in a circle towards the boat. some how i hooked the fish through the head and out the eye, i have no idea how it happened. we noticed it's gill plates werent moving, fins werent moving, it like died instantly from the hook. we tried reviving it for like 5 min, no luck. so he kept it for a good meal. i just feel really bad that i killed a big fish :'(
  11. i dont think you can put ice in it because of the chlorine/ chemicals in your tap water, unless you put ice in a ziploc bag so it doesnt water down the water in the livewell.
  12. does the digging in part only for baitcasters or is that with spinning reals too?
  13. if you have the fish lipped and it still feels a little antsy just dip the fish into the water (not the whole fish probably 2-3 inches below the gills). always seems to work for me
  14. the 2 10 pounders look kinda like groupers lol
  15. atrocity replied to K_Dub's topic in Fishing Tackle
spro bronze eye. you can work it slowly or go dean rojas style and chug it fast
  16. did you get any blaklash when it happened? id recomend a little heavier line or switch to suffix braid xD
  17. anyone see Baitshop on USA today. storyline wasn't that great but Bill Engvall couldn't have played his role any better, non the less funny fishing movie. thought id share
  18. i think i can figure out the spacing but i dont understand how like th sizes go, like on mudhole they give you size option of like 1-8 and then sometimes theres letters. what do you mean by spiral? its gonna be for a spinning rod. sorry for my lack of knowledge :-[ and thanks for all the help youv given me flechero
  19. im 5'8 and my friend is about 6 ft tall and we both fit fine in his 8 ft prowler. we can fit two tackle boxes, a small cooler, 3 rods, and a fly rod fine. yes its a little cramp but the boxes fit fine under the seats, and the rods on the side, and his #70 tm pushes us fine
  20. keep in mind if your not gonna be in private waters it needs to be registered, we learned the hard way.
  21. roostertail's second way always works for me, also always close the bail manualy, that'll help too
  22. are you looking for a plastic or aluminum boat? id recomend either the 8'or 9' pond prowler, it only weighs #100 and could be put in the back of a little truck like the ranger with no problem. it is a very stable boat due to its pontoon design and me and a friend could stand up comfortably without any sudden movements. id also recomend any of the tracker jon boats, they weigh about #100. the 32' w series are not as stable as the prowler but the length gives you more room. these too can be put in the back of a little truck like the ranger but stick out about 4 feet. the only downside to these boats is that when it starts getting hot, the boat does also, impossible getting it out of the water without burning yourself.
