Usually between 5:00 and 5:30, but I've got a really short drive to the two lakes I normally fish. It's about 12 miles to one and 8 miles to the other. I can get up at 5:00, take my shower, get dressed, load up the kayak, stop at McDonalds for a biscuit and be at either lake by 6-6:30.

It all depends on where I am fishing... I love the early morning bite. My usual time to wake up is 4am whether I am working or not so I make to where I am fishing by sun-up. ;)

Around here there is usual (good) morning bite on our local lake which the bass will turn on for a good hour to two hours. Unfortunatly thats right at sunrise. So if you want some good bites you got to get up early.

Being busy lately though i usually hit up the lake closer to dark for the evening bite. Its almost more enjoyable for me too. Get away from any stress from that day and just go out and catch sum feesh!!

I also live about 8 miles from the lake I fish at regularly.  I am a bank/shore fisherman so I usually have to wait until they open the guard shack gate.

So I get up about 4:30 and shower, read some scripture and then at the lake by 6am.

Up at 04:45 and on the water at 05:15 but I live on the lake so it's a little easier for me to get it going.  When traveling for a tourney, I'm up at whatever time I need to be so that I can be on the water 30 mins prior to take off and get rigged, go over my plan, get my head right, etc.

I can walk out my camper on the weekends and have the line in the water in about 2 minutes.  I have had the greatest intentions of getting on the water by 6am each Sunday for the last 4 weeks, I set the alarm as soon as I get there Saturday evenings.  However it usually gets turned off before I go to bed after partaking in the other great campsire tradition - sitting around the camp fire and drinking until 2am.

I get up at 4:00 AM, load up the car and I am over at my buddy's house by 5:00 AM. Move my stuff into his truck, drive the 12 or so miles to the lake, and we're on the water by 6:15 AM if all goes well.

I've always been a morning person myself. It's about 31 miles, door-to-door, to the lake I frequently fish. For that, I'm up at 4 am and on the water no later than 6:30 am.

I hook up the boat the night before and have everything ready so that I just have to pull the cover off the boat, load the rods, cooler and tackle bag, grab a bagel and coffee and hit the road.  I don't shave on the mornings that I am going fishing.  That way SWMBO is relatively confident that I am not actually out tomcatting.

I am on the lake a bit before daylight, but my home lake is so stumpy that I am afraid to run the big motor until after daylight.  I love being on the water at daylight, but I will admit that I really don't catch all that many fish early.
