Thanks for all the compliments and suggestions yall! You know, i asked her if she still wanted me to rake the leaves haha. Also im looking into the online boaters saftey course today. Even though im almost 18, which i will be legal to drive it alone, i still want to take the course and learn the ropes of boating. Thanks again.

So my mom tells me that i must come home today after school to rake leaves. I get home, and talk to my step dad and he says since i wasnt feeling good this morning that we werent going to rake them anymore. Okay, so i go to my room and chill for awhile and wait for my mom to come home. She comes home and i talk to her for a bit, and then she whips out two cards. Me, very confused, open them up while i see her grabbing her camera. Inside there were two cards, one said happy early birthday, and the other said happy early christmas. Now very confused, my mom was grinnin like no other. She then told me too fallow her out to the garage, and this is what i found. Its a 14 ft v bottom jonboat with a 25 horse marnier motor. It also has a ( i wanna say 32? lb) trolling motor on back. Its electric start also! Even though it was raining we took it out for a few quick runs today, and she ran great!! Shes fairly fast i must say too! More than plenty for me. Anyhow, im very excited and cant wait to take her out for a real trip soon!!!

Why? So I can watch sweaty guys roll around on the ground? No thanks. I would rather watch boxing. couldn't have said it better. Oh gosh... lol I'm not about to diss boxing at all. Cause i love to watch boxing now and then. (exspecially Ali.) But i would rather watch UFC anyday. But i have much much more respect for UFC fighters. They dont have to worry about just getting punched. But they can get punched, kicked, tackled, elbowed, and what not. They must be prepared for anything, and be able to take a hit.

Simple solution , turn the channel , no one is forcing you to watch .The intelligent ones know it's a staged set up . They all belong to the actors guild and are just entertainers making some bucks. It's really no big deal , please don't loose any sleep over them. Reckon i made myself seem a bit more bugged out by it than i really am. But it mainly just annoys me how the fans can get so into it when its a fake fight.

Okay so i just got home and turned on my t.v. An heres this WWF or watever its called, wrestling. Does it bug anyone else how pathetically fake these are? You can sit and watch them and see how fake almost everything is. An what is worse is there are actually people that like to watch this and prob think its real!!! This stupid crap is buggin me to death! People need to learn to watch UFC....

Oh our schools track? Its handy having that for public access, since i can use it to jog on anytime i want. Umm, our town lake of charleston is horrible. Mattoon lake where is about 20 minutes away from me is fair for crappie and you can get some decent bass. Shelbyville lake has some great fishing for bass, crappie, Musky, and walleye down on the river there. I've heard numerous things of newton lake near us and its suppost to be the HOT spot in winter since its a heated lake. Def want to start hitting this place up.

Champaign, oh okay. Im only 45 minutes or so from you than. Im in Charleston. I fish mainly all the lakes in the area and lots of little ponds.

Good cleaning once a year. (oil & greased) During summer rods and reels get a good washing with water and light soap. Than on the guides of rod i will put a spray of KVD spray and wipe around it.

That thinner braid is going to be harder to cast on your baitcaster. Id try bumping it up alittle next time. But thats no reason for the braid to be breaking. What roadwarrior said is a great way to check your rod guides. Thats a common problem with many people. Also check your line guide on your reel and make sure its not cracked. I've also heard of it causing peoples lines to break or snap easy.

I'd say its going to excell in Finesse jigs and t-rigged baits.

I personally wouldn't buy a fiberglass rod. I feel its ignorant to pay much for a fiberglass rod when i can buy a good graphite rod for fair money. I personally LOVE my 7'2 M Parabolic Carrot Stix rod for all my 1'-12' cranks. If you did want a glass rod though i have heard great things about BPS crankin stick. You can find it on sale for around 50 bucks fairly often also.

Yes, i think pliers are a must when you are fishing crankbaits. Also the article Roadwarrior mentioned is VERY VERY helpful. I seem to get gut hooks often and with using the technique that he mentioned it comes right out! If you remember that article of getting the hook out i dont think you should ever kill a fish just by catching it.
