Northern Division Open In Richmond, Virginia
Hey Sam, I was about 10 guys behind him. I know it was alot of poeple, however I was the guy in red with the redhead girl , also had my son. My girl went up with me, this was the first time she wanted too. To my surprise, my son, who always is up there with me, told her to go up and he would go up next week at Kerr. It was nice to meet you, even if it was limited and unknown, LOL!!!!

Northern Division Open In Richmond, Virginia
Hey Sam, I wish I knew that was you. Great job!!!! Not sure if it was you or the other guy that spoke highly about my kids. Thanks I wish I could say I was there now, but no matter how you prefish, when you ride the back, its not in your hands. And you are right, $350 for a guided trip with a Pro. The second day I rode with Nate Wellman. I didnt fair well in Tx, However, Nate talked to me about Lake Eric for 8 hours. When the Va BWS heads that way, I feel I now have a leg up on the guys!!! Great Time!!!!!

Revo better than the Curado?
OK, Ill end this!!! Revo SX are the way to go. Very fast reel, more then some people can handle. I own 6 of them, and use them to throw 1/16 shakyheads all the way to flipping mat with 1 1/2 oz. GreenTop here in Virginia, has last year model $129. You buy this reel and send it to Bassman13reelservice.com and have them Super Tuned, $17, You got a reel that will out preform , whatever else you can buy!!!

The public meeting with ALL interested anglers the VDGIF and Corp of Engineers is still on for next friday January 29th at 7:30pm at the Best Western in Clarksville VA. The VDGIF will talk about lake ecology, bass biology. You will get a chance to voice your opinions and experiences but please this is not a gripe session but a learning session for the anglers and the VDGIF and Corp of Engineers. It's also a put our heads together and see what can be done to fix the problem meeting. This will be an ongoing process not just a one time meeting. I hope all concerned anglers are looking forward to this as much as I am. Look forward to seeing you there-Tim Wilson (Tim's Guide Service)

Richmond Fishing Expo, Part 2
Hey Chris, I did and didnt. Nothing looked as good as the catch22's. Dave had some, but nothing I would bring home. Other then the rod, I just picked up a few hooks and a few pack of beavers from R&R, for the Potomac.

Richmond Fishing Expo, Part 2
Hey guys, Enjoyed the show, small, but excellent. Found a All Star ASR rod at Sports Fisherman Center Booth. Was going to buy after I saw the price,However a guy walked up said he'll make me a deal,OK. Got the rod for about 25% off, Check them out, and dont pay the list or sale price. Cheaper to sale, then to load back up. And Greentop gave the kids a nice spinner. My 11 year old loved it, got home and hit the pond. And I hoped everyone talk with Frank Poirie at Greentop, he is one of the best local fisherman and all around good guy.

Potomac report
I would bet the same as Sat., noon the tide was incoming and almost at dead high tide. I caught 25 bass, all below 15" but fat, before the water got above the grass. Then only 1 3lber for 3 hours. Flipped grass, spinners, chatters, and the only thing I didnt throw was a -1 or crank. What do you think??

Grass carp in Briery Creek
The Dept. of Fools and F@#K Ups should remove everyone of the carp. I fish the lake 1-2 days a week and my catch rate in way down. I pulled up on a point last week and there was 100-200 carp in a large school, trashing the whole area. And now they are going after the pads. With the grass in the lake, it provided a hiding spot for fry and bass. Now with the grass gone, its has opened parts of the lake up, where not everybody could fish or knew how. And with the number of people fishing this lake, you can kiss this lake goodbye in 2-3 years. The days of bass over 10 lbs limited.
