Anyone fishing the Kissimmee Chain?
That all depends alot on where in west lake you are fishing.. if you have water that is somewhat free of hydrilla, then i would use a lipless crankbait of some sort. But even that depends on weather... do you fish in a certain area or structure type?

yeah the coating goes away after a while, then the line turns white, like most others. Suffix is a great braid as is Stren.

The answer is a stronger hook, but even light wire doesn't bend on the hook-set. Hooks straighten out under stress from fighting a fish or more often, hanging up. Unless you are fishing with a circle hook, reeling up slack is not a satisfactory substitute for setting the hook, regardless of the line you are using. : Yes thank you, the reeling up comment was said in jest. But if you dont want to adjust your hookset then yes a superline hook is called for.. the fact that his hooks are straightening is interesting though, he would have to put decent pressure on the fish while fighting it to do that, unless the hooks are crap. another solution, if you dont use a leader use one, it makes a great shock absorber. A hook can be bent in a hook set as well as in a fight, especially with braid in either case. A lighter hook can be used if he goes witha harder hook material, but this adds the brittle factor. If it doesnt affect your fishing use the Super line hook, othe wise work on setting the hook softer.

K.V.D. L+L VS. Real Magic which is better and why?? Opinions please..
where in any of my statements did i say that it contained petrolium oil? When they say other lubricants they mean, wd-40, and the like. Those are petrolium oils, L&L are silicone oils which is why they are safe to use on your fishing line.

w/e you say. If you change your line at the directed time frame you wouldnt need L&L or reel magic... but for those who dont, i guess it's not a waste.. Plus it makes a great cleaner... But... Both products will perform their said tasks, but one..L&L will do it far better, but wont lubricate nearly as well for as long... As for being the same product, they are... I shouldn't have used exact same, but they are the same TYPE of product.. both are silicone oil lubricants.

I have quite a bit of experience with both. i and some coworkers were part of the testing/demo group for L&L. Yes it works, but is it really needed.. No... there are other items which can do the same thing. Will most fisherman find it usefull.. Yes... you asked the question, and I gave an answer.. Sorry you guys didn't like the answer.

Your statement is incorrect. Oil is the base component for Reel Magic, water for KVD Line & Lure. The products have very few similarities. Both are silicone(sp?) based lubricants. The main difference is one is oil based the other is as you said water based.. But both use the same ingredients beyond that . it tend to wrork better for most because the water evaporates and leave just the right amount of oil to soak and then soften the line.

Sounds like you either didn't have backing on your spool before you put the braid on, or it wasnt put on tight enough. Make sur to alway back your braid with a small amount of monofilament to prevent the line slipping and then cutting into it self. As for bending the hooks. Just dont set the hook so hard.. with zero stretch braid you can almost reel the slack up to set the hook..

Same exact product. only difference is maybe some extra secret ingredient... Either way both are an excellent way to waste your money.
