  1. Tx partner was out Sunday and steady caught fish. Small jigs and medium running cranks
  2. Not sure how to go about catching flatheads in the spring, but your best bet is to use live bait. People usually catch them bass fishing out there all the time. Catch a dozen or so palm size bluegill and live line them on the ends of bluffs or try setting out a few jug lines along deeper banks.
  3. Very nice fish guys. This week should really get the fish up shallow and feeding. If the rain stays on the light side the above mentioned places should really start to break loose
  4. fish are active. creeks as well as main lake. pick up a blade and slowwwww roll it around the ends of flats. more wood = more better!!
  5. Shimmy, SWEEEEET, nice work man. I know exactly where that is............. you can see the ramp very close to that spot!!! PM me if you would like. Jon
  6. Oh hells yea. Got everything they have done as a group except that blacroc(sp) thing they put out, gone to 5 shows. They absoloutly kill it live. Soooooo much sound from two guys. You a fan?
  7. Here is the reason I go bass fishing- to catch fish. Here is the reason I continue to go bass fishing- work my brain and to catch fish. No sure about the rest of you but the challenge is a big part of the game. It would stop being fun if I had all the info neede to catch fish just handed to me. I'm all about the free exchange of info, but I can make my own decisions and right or wrong I learn and apply that knowledge to my next outing. If you want good info, build yourself a good reputation of info exchange with your fellow anglers and don't expect something for nothing!!
  8. If you have a boat or are thinking of renting a boat, I have to agree with Andrew. Tie on a senko and go to work. Hunting Run is about to explode!! Maybe Wayne will chime in on any tips or tricks out there........ he may be busy crushing them a Briery!!
  9. Back to the original post, the water is fine and people are catching fish. Steve, time on the water will go a long way to putting your mind at ease on tough weather days. Believe me, both bodies of water will jump up and bite you!! You may think the res is all nicey, nicey but you obviously have very little running time there to make that assumption. Like I said before, knowledge of a certain body of water will make things less stressful
  10. It's more of a wacky worm style of finess fishing. Specialized, weighted hook, specifically designed worms. Works like a champ, set the hook like you would a drop shot cause the hooks are very sharp and light line is usually employed. I'm no expert with it but I have caught some good ones with it!!
  11. Burke will be crowded and noisy, but if you beat the banks this time of year you can always catch some cruisers. Fountainhead can be a bit overwhelming at times. Big amount of water to try and cover with a rental. You can catch fish all the same, but it will be crowded as well. Too many yakers and skullers make this palce a bit crowded on week-ends at times. Very rude and unknowledeable about rules on the water and about the most beligerant people in the world (skullers)....... think they own the place!!
  12. Soooooooooo............... where exactly is ..... Dugai??
  13. Try these guys as well. Like Wayne said $50 to $60 bux and you are good to go. Not very difficult to replace. Just keep things organized when breaking down and you should have no problem. Wells Trolling Motor 804.233.6726
  14. Lake Trashmore. Not sure you can put your yak in tho.
  15. Anybody watch this on MTV? About the funniest thing I've seen in a while. I was never a bully growing up and thankfully was never bullied, but man is it funny to watch the bullies get their arses handed to them!!
  16. Got to break out the jonny and get it running for the res tx's!! I'll be at fountainhead
  17. The green goodness of yeunni on a daily basis and because beer is food........... Guiness
  18. Kinami........... 4" drop shot kinami............5" t rig or shakey GYCB..............5 3/4" shakey( favorite and best producer) GYCB..............6.5" or larger t rig or c rig
  19. EPL for sure. Like Josh, soccer consumed me till I was in my mid twenties. ACL reconstruction is not fun, so after my 3rd acl surgery I figured it was time to stop. I still wish I could play!! Dan is right in that divers are ruining the game. I cannot watch any Mexican league game as it drags on with way too much theatrics!! I traveled all over the US and played overseas a couple of different times, I was lucky that my parents were able to "foot the bill" for all of that!! It's an awsome game to watch when it flows and two great teams play one another. It can also be a train wreck when teams are not evenly matched. The WC should have some great games!!
  20. Only problem trying to have a tx on hunting run is it has to be a slot tx or a paper tx. It is illegal to posess any fish in the slot so you are very limited as to what you can bring to the scales. Either a citation or a 'lil baby!!
  21. Main river looks good for now. Wouldn't be surprised if it gets abit muddy as well. Fountainhead opens this weekend if anyone is interested. Josh, that would be a good place to put in and give it a go!! Wish I could get out there this weekend but I will be in Florida. Oh darn!!
  22. Dark. Dark with caramel. Giridelli makes 'um
  23. Thank you Ryan Miller!!!
  24. I'm sure Wayne will tell you the same thing but I believe there is an amazing amout of treetops thay lay in wait just under the surface in a bunch of different places making anything over 9.9 extreamly dangerous. I know a lot of large impoundments are the same way but vgdif is funny that way. I wonder the thing about Fountainhead reservoir!!
  25. Dan#, over estimating?? Too may people wanting to watch???
