Do you intend on furthering your education past high school? If not look into learning a trade. NOVA is sick thick with service jobs. Look at something that may peak your interest and make some inquires with perspective employers!

If I am correct Wayne, that would have been opening week-end at Hunting Run?? Fished the Sunday of that opening week-end with a friend and caught 75+ with most fish between 3-5 lbs with a few in the 6+ range. Had 2 giants down near the dam come off after we got a good look at them. Wish they would drop the water level back down. That was epic!! What a feeling to try and shake off 4 lbers looking for bigger fish, and to hook up with 5 lbers and see four or more bigger fish with it trying to get the bait away from the one you have hooked up. Once in a lifetime experience!!

At our small tx's weigh in we have had about a half dozen baby turtles in livewells this year!!

1/2 oz longbill scrounger with albino superfluke. Cast past the shad, crank it fairly quickly and tight line kill it. Let me know if that doesn't do it for you!!

Waiting is fine, lurking, not so much. When someone watches your every cast and slowly encroaches, that's bentrodding to me. Don't get me wrong, it's a public reservoir and I by no means have any spot labeled mine and mine alone. I was just trying to get opinions and what peoples experiences were in this type of situation.

That spot has not been as productive as in years past. I'm sure at some point in the year it will turn on!!

No hate involved, I'm sure this is how some people "learn" certain things about a body of water. The way I thought to gain knowledge was to seek out others who were familiar with the water I was fishing and politely asked if the were willing to help me be a better angler or just flat out put in time on the water and try to figure stuff out. Don't get me wrong, everyone has brought up excellent points and I'm sure someone found that spot before I did. I guess I should have titled this thread something about spot courtesy!!

Wish it was as easy as that. Partner and I caught 2 good keepers and lost a 3 lber as the the other boat watched. Who knows, I might have even jumped on it as they were letting it cool off a bit. Dont think that was the case as every fish they caught from that spot was followed by screams of joy!! Like it was the firs time they had ever found a spot with multiple fish!!

Oh, believe me, not the first time and certainly won't be the last!! Just wanted to see if opinions were somewhat the "yea, happens, suck it up, find another nice spot."

What are your thoughts on people who see you catch fish on a fairly non-descript place and then set up camp on that hole and decimate it for the next 3 hours. I know I probably should have stayed and kept on fishing but wanted to hit a few other spots before it got to late in the morning. Time and effort were put into finding the spot only to see it become fished out. Thoughts?

Who owns the water? ( is it state or county operated?) on the fairfax county water authority water supply reservoir we fish, a 10 hp restricted watershed, I know bass boats are allowed to fish, just not run the outboard at all. I would say check with whomever has jurisdiction and if you are able to idle. Makes sense you should be able to but it doesn't hurt to find out from the bosses of the lake!!

Sounds like the problem I recently had. A carb jet had some debris deminishing fuel flow. External or internal fuel tank?? Check fuel filter or pick-up?
