  5. Well, that kind of happend to me but it wasn't bad. I was fishing a senko and then a WALLEYE takes it. the line was so twisty that it wrapped around my rod and i couldnt reel it in. I had to keep moving back until my brotther could grabi t. My brother on the otherhand, had a 6 lb channel cat on his line on a spinning reel. This line hasnt been changed for a year so it was memoryish and springy. it wrapped EVERYWHERE on his spinning reel when he had it on. He unwrapped it and fought the fish and I llanded it ;D

  15. Hey everyone I was looking at those depth finders that you cast out and you see it on the watch that comes with it and i was wondering if it works well for people with no access to a boat. Has anyone used it before? If so, positives and negatives? here it is http://cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jhtml?id=0020302016203a&type=product&cmCat=search&returnString=No=20&hasJS=true&Nty=1&Go.y=0&Ntx=matchall&Go.x=0&Ntt=humminbird&N=4887&QueryText=humminbird&noImage=0&_D%3AhasJS=+&_DARGS=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Fcommon%2Fsearch%2Fsearch-box.jhtml.20&Ntk=Products&_D%3A%2Fcabelas%2Fcommerce%2FCabelasCatalogNumberFinder.giftCertificateURL=+&%2Fcabelas%2Fcommerce%2FCabelasCatalogNumberFinder.giftCertificateURL=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Ftemplates%2Fgiftcertificate%2Fgiftcertificate.jhtml%3Fid%3D0005586990011a%26podId%3D0005586%26catalogCode%3DIB%26navAction%3Djump%26indexId%3D&returnPage=search-results1.jhtml
  16. ^^ Yeah the imitations are great. I personally like the Yum Dingers ( plastic worms by Yum!) Similar colors and a little more durable.
  17. You are right. Senko's catch pretty much any kind of fish. My fish that I have caught on a senko so far (today and yesterday) were a bass a catfish and a walleye. But thats another story. What makes a fisherman a good one is to diversify your tactics. If you see fish break the surface use a topwater etc. I just started using senkos and sure, they are boring to use but do catch fish. Instead of letting the senko fall once and reel it in, let it fall, pull it up and let it drop again until its about 8 feet away from you and re cast. Another way to be patient is to look around, enjoy the weather, the sounds of the birds and the beautiful sites that the outdoor gives us. That passes up time. Also, you said you t-rigged a worm, if you dont want the bullet weight to get snagged use a tooth pick through the bottom and up the top of the weight so it wont move and get caught. Another method to try fishing is jigs. they are GREAT for any type of species. You can use the yamamoto grubs on the jig, twister tails, hula grub, etc. They all work great. A great way to fish the hula grub is to let it sink to the bottom and bounce it off the bottom until it reaches you. I hope I helped, paully
