Went out to blp today I got one bluegill might as well have been skunked. My buddy got two bass and pic nothing big. Really slow water temp was 55 on the surface.I didnt get out last weekend weeds seem to be dieing off quick now!

I went out to vegas to get married about 4 years back. Me and buddy went on a stripper fishing guided tour. we were targeting the biggins we only caught one though. It was about 28 inches long. All we did was troll around with these big trout lookig swim baits. Kinda boreing would have liked to do more casting. All in all wasn't that bad of a trip. We went to lake mead I think it was in Arizona.

So I went out today with a freind of mine . Caught on bluegill he caugt two lm 2.2 and 1 and a small pickrel. I really started out with the mind set to give the jig a honest shot today. Well it lasted about an hour and I gave up I just have no confidence I guess. Water temp was about 55 on the surface. Dose that seem warm to you guys? Im always up to learn a thing or two bassectomy! Maybe I should have fished with a blindfold on today couldn"t do any worse. Really could use a diffrent technic and perspective on fishing, been fishing with the same partner for ever. Let me know if you want to hit cooks I need to buy a new outfit for that place.

I've never caught a fish on a jig. Guess I never really gave it a true shot. Any pointers on jiggin? I've seenit done on tv but thats usally in heavy cover and their pitchin. Just don't think you can pitch rite sitting in a john boat? What do you jig masters think?

The fuzz made tin's freinds leave?? What was that all about? That's one of those ponds that takes all day to fish to whole thing. Like I was saying before if I don't I always wonder.

When you say over populated, do you mean bass or all fish in the pond? How do you tell if it is over populated? I've been fresh water fishing 8 or 9 years. The biggest fish I ever caught was before we had a scale.No tellin how big it was. My buddy insists it was over 5, but we all know how guesstamation goes. I still find that we over estamate and thats after using a scale for 5 years or so. Granted we are over estamating by nearly as much as we used to.4+ pounds is usally a the biggest we catch in a season. How big do you guys think is to big for a boat with a trolling motor?? Ponds I mean.

How could any fish resisit that?? I wanted to bite it right thru the screen!!! 40 or 50 bucks I better bring a snorkel and mask with me in case it gets hung up.

Thanx I was starting to get discouraged with the fish I've been catching. I was starting to think it was the small pond theroy.

I'm wondering what everyone thinks? Do big bass only live in bigger ponds and lakes?

No kidding I didn't know they closed cook pond. If you read the mass dept of fish and game, they say it was one of the most fertile ponds in the state at one time. What a shame!!! I always hope to snag a tigger muskie while im there. Anyone ever see the tigger muskie head at main bait? That was pulled out of cook.

Nice fish ... one 3 pounder and that was that is weird. How was the wind it was brutal for us. I'm tellin you get your boat in at bad luck pond. No dinks in that pond ever kinda weird. Lots of submerged rocks though be careful!!!!

Did you end up going to cook on sat?? How did you make out??

I would be interested but I have no clue what this pond x you speak of is.Why don't you do five boats and everyone bring a trash bag and take an hour to clean up a little. Couldn"t hurt right???

Went out saturday and got six bass and two pickrel but nothing huge.They all seemed to tight to lilypads in deeper open water probably around 3 to 4 foot. Caught all but one on shinners the other on a baby minus 1.

d**n!! I fish twice a week and am lucky to get one that breaks a four lbs nice catch!!!!

Whent to bad luck pond on saturday, fished from 9:30 to 5:00.Nothing to exciting but we didn't get skunked at least.Between the two of us we caught 6 bass and two average size pickrel.Five of the bass ranged from 1lb 8 oz to 2 lbs the biggin of the day was 2lb 8oz.They were mostly caught on shinners I think one was one a shallow crank bait. The wind was brutal spent most of the day trying to avoid it..... better than a day at work!!!!

Hey guys newbie here from Swansea Massachusetts. I fish a bunch of small local ponds but am getting discouraged with the size of the bass I'm cathching. Looking for some new ponds in the cape area with some hawgs in them. Any info would be greatly appreciated. How can I post pics on here??? Thanks

Hey masssilversrt4 me and my buddy have been fishing Milford pond for about 8 years. Maybe you've seen us in 10 foot red john boat with white seats. Not so much this year but my biggest fish to date was there. I would say he was all of five pounds but that was before we had a scale. Either way he was huge!!! Seems awfuly slimey there this year. You ever fish bad luck pond?? Great spot the avarage fish seems bigger than Milford. Lower Milford can be pretty good lots of pickrel misson to get in though.Whens the next tourney???
