  1. hit the hooks with some enamel red spray paint , i paint my shakey head jigs with it and it's pretty durable
  2. I JUST SPOOLED UP SOME SUFIX 832 NEON LIME IN 30 LB. BRAID , SEEMS THAT WOULD BE YOUR BEST BET BESIDES A WHITE BRAID ....
  3. SWIMBAITS & FROGS !!!!!
  4. i have 31 packs of plastics in there including 2 Big Bite Baits 5'' stick baits 25 pk. in the large size Browning worm binder !!! i can probably squeeze an extra 5 packs of plastics still !!
  5. heres a pic of my big swimbait rod , a St.Croix 9' Big Nasty , spiral wrapped ----
  6. almost similar to a Deps buzzjet
  7. for mojo rigs , i always use a main line ( flourocarbon) with the weight pegged and a Owner rig n hook in 3/0 for trick worms . i throw this rig on my spinning set up ..
  8. i would recommend trying the Owner Beast un-weighted hook in 4/0 , i now it probably would seem to be too small but i've used this size on them and i find it's the best hook for the Rage toad . as far as line , i really prefer using 30 lb. braid , you get better casts than using 50-65 lb. braid .
  9. i would of moved in with her !!!!!
  10. They work great , plus they are cheap !!
  11. low down customs uses Phenix rod blanks , if you want a rod built like that , contact a custom rod builder in your area . if you want a good Phenix rod blank recommendation , check out the Phenix Black Diamond PSW809H-b, that's an 8' rod blank , for an 8'6'' blank , check out the PSW869H-B , both will throw up to 6 oz. baits but will also throw baits down to 2 oz. as far as a rod with a spiral wrap , that's how all of my casting rods are , including my swim bait rods . i have them spiral wrappped with micro guides , size 4 American Tackle Artus heavy duty micro guides in size 4 for my big swim bait rod which is a St.Croix Big Nasty ( the rod is a straight out beast !!) and for my smaller swimbait rod which is a Phenix PSW869H-XF-B , i have it also spiral wrapped with size 3 micro guides ( same brand as big rod ) anyhow , you can get the rod of your dreams created by a custom rod builder , hit up Mike ( Delaware Valley Tackle) here on the forum , he can build you whatever you would like , even if you wanted one just like a LDC , it's all possible ...
  12. not very practical for on the water , good for display ! i use Owner treble hook safety caps , they are on all my treble hook baits , so simply easy for storing in a tackle box
  13. i'm sure they are good eating , catch and release is what i do , period
  14. i practice catch and release 100 % of the time as far as bass go by my own choice ...
  15. having patience with lipped crankbaits , i just don't have confidence in them anymore . i have not a drop of confidence in spinnerbaits or heavy carolina rigs .....
  16. what lb. line are you throwing your 13'' dead twitch trout with ????
  17. i'm right handed and i use left hand retrieve reels and reel with my left also on my spinning reel ..
  18. which ever hand you've grown accustomed to working the rod with , you reel with the other . has nothing to do with being left or right handed ....
  19. you guys are talking about 2 different lines made by the same manufacturer , Hybrid & 100 % flourocarbon .....
  20. for me a rod that loads to far into the backbone is gonna start to fatigue you while casting all day , i would rather a rod with a little more power to it , and just stating out throwing swimbaits , i recommend getting a rod that can handle the baits well and have a little room for bigger baits . i throw baits averaging 3-11 oz. sometimes 15 , i have two rods , one that handles baits from 2-6 oz. and a rod that handles big baits 5-16 oz. ther is nothing worse than having a rod setup that wears you out half way thru the day !!!
  21. Sebile magic swimmer in blue back herring ......
  22. i got the large Browning worm binder , the jumbo is HUGE !!! my binder is easily 5'' thick with baits , the material is super durable as is the zippers , i seriously thought it would blow out on me but has held up to bags and bags of baits , it's pretty comical , i put my knee on it with most of my weight and then horse the zippers closed
  23. okuma kinda over rates their rods . a lot of people say the heavy maxs out at 3-4 oz.... matter of fact , check rippin-lips post ^^^^ , he says 3 oz. starts to max out the rod .
  24. to me ,the ST-36's are light wire , the 2X ST-41's are heavy wire .... btw, the super needle points are good but the cutting point hooks are scary sharp ...
  25. buy a few 2 packs and throw them on an umbrella rig ....
