Help Needed With Spinner Baits!
Give it a couple of more weeks. The temps right now in NY are in the high 70's to low 80's(very unusual for August) The waters will be cooling off and the bass will be moving in to feed and will be more aggressive. Then, the spinnerbait will be killer. In stained water, I would use a 1/2 oz tandem willow or willow and colorodo blades in gold and silver or both gold. White/chartruese skirt or all chartruese. Fish it at a moderate to fast pace and throw around visible cover(rocks, branches, tree stumps,docks,etc..)

Zoom Super Fluke Set Up
I use a 6'10" med/fast spinning rod with 8-10lb Invizx fluoro on my spinning reel. I use a 3/0-4/0 gamakatsu EWG hook and fish the fluke weightless and with a fast, erratic retrieve. My favorite colors are pearl white, albino, chartruese pearl, glimmer blue, disco violet, white ice, pearl/chartruese tail.

Spinning Vs. Baitcasting
All I'm gonna say is that both are critical in maximizing your fishing techniques and presentations. If you refuse to learn or want to use one or the other, then you're selling yourself short and are missing out on tons of opportunities. You should master both.

Trade Off Of Fluoro And Braid
I've been using Invizx for 5 yrs now and I have had zero issues with it. I NEVER lose a fish to knot strength. I always tie a uni knot. I use anywhere from 8lb-20lb test depending on the application and I fish reservoirs where there are a lot of rocks. Zero issues. The key to fluoro is line conditioner. It makes a big difference.

My Experience Learning To "fish The Fluke"…effectively!
If I were restricted to using one bait for the rest of my life, I would pick a weightless fluke. For me, it is the most versatile bait there is. And I dont know how you guys arent catching big fish on them either. Some of my biggest fish I ever caught came on a weightless fluke. Just this past weekend I caught a 7+lb brown trout in the reservoir using a weightless fluke. AMAZING fight and the biggest fish I caught on a fluke.
