For me, hands down the best jerkbait has been the Xcalibur XS4. Its deadly.

I prefer a moderate tip for treble hook lures.

I only use Quantum(over 20 yrs) and I use TE and Energy PT. Zero issues. love them.

I use 15lb Invizx

Weightless Zoom super fluke with 3/0 Gamakatsu EWG hook(4/0 is too heavy and sinks too fast) fished erratically with very short pause here and there.

Soft plastics will work year round. If it were me, I'd be throwing a weightless zoom fluke, hard jerkbait, shallow crank, lipless crank.
